Not sure if this is a bounce from yesterday, but since I'll need to go in around +4, her being a bit higher is better since Eric is going in to work today.

Suuuuper not excited to leave the house today. Yesterday and today were/are both excessive heat warnings - both days have temps in the high 90s with heat indexes between 105 and 106. Because of course the weather wants to have fun the first couple days of class.

We had cooler temp yesterday - low 80 and hopefully it's coming your way, Alicia.
Kit cat had a super AM cycle yesterday so probably she's recalibrating things.
Hope she'll slide down gradually and get to the good place for the PM cycle!

I hope you are able to stay cool today as well. Also not a fan of the heat - and add in that it feels like being slapped with a hot wet towel when you walk outside adds to the delightfulness. I'm so ready for fall. I'll even take winter!

It's about 79% humidity right now and feels like 99 degrees. So gross. It's supposed to be back in the low 80s and 70s by Sundayish, and next week should be cooler. This lady who is basically a furnace just is not made for a heat index of 108 though. So gross.
Recalibrating. I like that!

It's such a gross heat. At least it's only for a couple of days. It'll still be warm the rest of the week, but without the heat indexes.

I came home early. This morning, while doing some utility work, the city hit a water main. It doesn't affect my new building - it still has water and working toilets. The new building also had a problem with the AC this morning, and because it's so hot, the building can't keep up and it is very much warm. My old building has much cooler temps. But no working bathroom. Home? Home has water, cool temps, bathrooms, AND A KITTY! We all know what the winner was.
