8/27 Harley PMPS 318

[Harley and Pattie]

Harley did not hold steady last night. He is now 525. Since this is too high for me, I did give 3.0u lantus, .1u R to get him down.

I really got a scare from him. The other 2 cats woke me up for their breakfast but there was no Harley. I found him on the bed, half on, half off and limp as a rag. My heart stopped and boy was he pissed when I picked him up and shook him. He had been sleeping.

Oh Pattie. . .
Please gets lots of checks today,, and once he hits blue - every half hour.
Remember his reaction the last time he got a DOR on 08/10.

I think it would be a good strategy for today to treat a blue number like you would a 50 early in the cycle: feed 1t HC, test in 30,, lather, rinse, repeat.

You want to try and prevent him from diving too fast or he will end up in the black again.

I had a similar thought as Sandy. I know with Gabby, if I see a big drop in the early part of the cycle, I either test more frequently or give a little HC so the numbers don't get away from me (e.g., PM cycle on 8/23).

Coming down fast. I bet I only gave a drop because it was .1 and a small bubble was in it that I could not get out. I have now given 1 tb HC just to slow him down. Will test q hour to make sure all is ok.

Like the idea to treat blue as green Sandy. Maybe I will get farther. All my measuring tools are out.

No matter where he ends up tonight, I will hold off on R (lets say he goes back to the 400's). I will see what the AM is before I decide to use more.

didn't get the +11. He is very tired today...sleeping all day with the exception of this AM when he had to chase the chipmunk. 318 right now, gave 3.0 fat units. Will test starting at +4 since I have to go back to a facility to see what is going on.
