Good morning, Lantus Land!

Yesterday's ugly bounce

Today's News:

AMPS: Missed (Clare's ears were so cold, even the sock wouldn't warm them before she quit)
+2.75: 83
+3/25: 62
+4: 51
+4.5: 64
+5: 73
+8: 312
+11.5: 318

PMPS: 309
+3: 120
+4: 101
+5: 82
+6: 93

Yay, Clare! Back in the lagoon. Probably another bounce on the way [Later: Not! ]; but this time her numbers have gone nice and low at the nadir. We'll take it!

Have a good day, everyone, and healing thoughts and hugs to all who need them,

Georgette

Looking good today Clare!   Hop on that surfboard. Did you give her a tsp or two of LC this morning to see if you can get her surfing longer?

The rice sock wasn't working that great for me, so I switched to warm water in an old film canister. Pill containers work too. I find it easier to wrap the ear around that. Then I follow up with a bit of rubbing.

Thanks for the idea, Wendy. It's getting a bit colder now in the mornings here so we'll definitely need something to switch to when the sock/testing connection doesn't look too good to her. Usually she just closes her eyes and lets the warmth go into her ear; but this morning I poked her quite a few times without getting much blood, so she just decided, "Enough of this!" cat(2)_steam Can't say I blame her.

I'm so glad she's surfing for awhile this morning in the cool green numbers. Maybe the bounce won't be too bad this time. (cross fingers) I was out of baked chicken breast (her favorite) this morning so baked some more after she had her breakfast. She was smelling that and nibbling at other LC food every half hour or so. It wasn't exactly at +2 but it's been throughout the beginning of her morning cycle.

She's still underweight a bit, so I'm afraid to withhold food from her too much. No matter how much she's eaten, she'll still eat a few pieces of chicken breast with drops of maple syrup; so we can use that option if she gets too low.

I can see how beans have to learn just how to design a diet for their kitties throughout the day. It seems to make a big difference, at least during the active cycles. So far, we haven't figured out how to make her bounces settle but feeding her only LC (if possible) seems to help her clear the bounces more quickly.

In gratitude,

Georgette
