Good morning LL!

Well, can't say I'm surprised. Just very, very sad. I could tell Bob was feeling a little poopy this morning and no wonder! I have noticed that he seems more interested in the canned food, but I think it's because he gets to eat both - canned and dry. I think I'm going to cut the dry down to 1/8 c twice a day and increase the wet. Maybe I could get him back off the dry. Or at least give him a very little amount. Maybe that will help.... I probably need to be a little mor diligent in testing as well. I just don't want to see those high numbers all the time, so I'm avoiding it, but I will start getting at least 4 numbers a day from now on. It is what it is, whether I see it or not.

Other than that hideous number, Bob started to get a little playful before I left. He ate a little dry and a little wet, but last night he chowed down on the wet. Pee is looking a little heavy and poops are good. Always something to be thankful for....

I hope everyone has a great day!!! Hoping there are lots of frisky, playful kitties out there this morning! flip_cat

Hi guys .. yikes is right .. that's a high amps but hopefully bob can bring it down .. I always took it as a good sign when mocha was feeling active and frisky .. like she knew she was going to have a good day! Good luck getting the extra tests in .. yes, it's hard to see the high numbers but so rewarding to see those low numbers when they come in too! have a great day!

Hi Devon - thanks for stopping by! It is quite possible this may be a bounce (since he was due for one), but since I didn't get anynumbers last night, I can't be sure. Also, the cats are not finishing the dry kibble quickly, so he could have eaten some in the last couple of hours before I checked him (hopeful thinking!). I guess I could take away their food two hours prior although if they just ate the dry kibble, that wouldn't help anyway! Sigh. It's always something....

Hope you guys enjoy your day! cat_pet_icon

Oh, Bob, bring it back down please!

It is great that he's showing more interest in canned now. I think as long as you're "casual" about offering it, maybe he'll "decide" all on his own that it really is the better choice  ! I know my kitties read my stress, and if I'm stressing about their dietary issues (I've got littermates with tons of sensitivities), it does make their situation worse. Of course, though, fighting the stress (and fighting letting them see the stress) is easier said than done, but maybe you'll be better at it than I am!

Definitely do keep up with the testing. I know sometimes the numbers are high and it is hard to see those, but you don't want to get caught off guard by any sudden drops, either.

Have a great day, Dara!!

It's great news that Bob is showing a little more interest in the canned! Maybe he just wants to switch to it on HIS schedule like a typical cat! Hope he comes back down for you soon . . . but gently so no bounce!

Oh my Bob :o Come on back down now ;-)
Really glad to hear he's eating some more of the wet food on his own. I guess it's all up to Bob now  Silly Kitties
Sometimes we just need to step back and take a breather. I think you and Bob needed a break from it all.
So take a deep breath, do what you can and it will all be ok :YMHUG:
Have a Great Day Dara!!

Well, I may have just jinxed myself because I ordered two cases of Wellness Turkey! Please pray for me!!! This is the longest he's eaten one type of wet food so maybe it's the magic one. I'm going to put out 2 TBS of dry for each kitty at 7 and 7 and then put out their wet food. Hopefully, this will work for me! Fingers crossed!

Sending the high altitude balloon to get Bob back down.

Come on down! Bob, your ride is waiting for you.
