Yesterday's Condo

Morning dear friends! Shadow earned his 1st <50 last night and his Mama is so proud of him. I did add some karo to his +7.50 syringed HC gravy. (I guess I am a little heavy-handed with that stuff as noted by his +9 sigh) I gave him a Dental chew at +4 last night and I guess it didn't raise his BG at all...first time he has had one of those.) Kicking myself for not getting a +5 last night because I might have steered the drop but I will try to do better next time. :YMSIGH:

He had a nice breffis and has been eating well the past few snack times. Flurry of activity in the living room just a few minutes ago and I believe those two were playing! 4Ps accounted for so far this morning.

So, if this 216 is his bounce I'll take it! I hope Monique will repeat her orders to him because he might need some reminder, being a male and all. But I am noting with a an antijinx that there has been an absence of a certain uh...ahem..."color" on his SS for the past few days and I am sooo happy about that but am not going to say nuttin......cause those days should have warranted at least one ~~~ or 20, :lol: and I am just amazed that there hasn't been one but I am not going to say it out loud or anything...antijinx...
Oh my goodness, is it Friday Eve already?? Yay! Hope you all have a good one!! :mrgreen:

What another great low bounce? to start Shadow's day with and those numbers last night are just WOW :o :shock: :o Shadow must have been reading your mind lately and knew how frustrated his Bean was getting and finally started to behave himself hope you are not too tired Pat and hope the rest of Shadows day is another good one cat_pet_icon :YMHUG:

I do hope this is the bounce. A little bouncing is ok, it keeps him from earning the decreases to quickly. I don't like bounces that are to the moon and take days to resolve. So Shadow, we will let Mama take the blame for this AMPS (heavy handed with the syrup :-D ) what happens next is all on you!

Will Shadow not eat HC? What's up with having to syringe feed? I don't know if I would have added the Karo to a low number during the latter part of the cycle until I tried HC along first. But that's me and if you wanted to go to sleep, I understand completely.

Nice AMPS Shadow! Mannie however found, uuuhhhhh, "that color" this morning, so you might want to avoid him for a while, so not to run the risk of any transference. :lol:

What a great start for Shadow....not too bouncy.

About those brownies Pat....first I am not the one that makes the raspberry ones, that would be Roni.
Second I am not disciplined I am just not a cookie, cake person....now give me a bag of peanut M & M's and a bag of potato chips and I am very happy.
If you want the brownies, I will certainly make and send them to you so you will have a late...I mean all night snack for when you are up all night testing a very green kitty. :mrgreen:

For the seventh year in a row, the Mars Hoax is infecting email boxes around the world. Passed from one reader to another, the message states that on August 27th Mars will approach Earth and swell to the size of a full Moon. "NO ONE ALIVE TODAY WILL EVER SEE THIS AGAIN," the email declares--always in caps.

News flash: It's not true.

Here are the facts. On August 27, 2010, Mars will be 314 million km from Earth, about as far away as it can get. Mars will shine in the western sky after sunset like a tiny red star of ordinary brightness. If you didn't know it was there, you probably wouldn't notice.

The origins of the Hoax can be traced back to 2003 when Mars really did swell to unusual proportions. On August 27th of that year, Mars came within 56 million km of Earth—the nearest it has been in 60,000 years. People marveled at the orange brilliance of Mars in the night sky and crowded around telescopes for clear views of the planet's towering volcanoes, ruddy plains and glistening polar ice caps. At the height of the display, Mars was about 75 times smaller than the full Moon.

That's when "the virus" was born.

Soon, the Hoax was vectoring around the internet, making copies of itself and mutating. Advanced versions of the virus, sleeker and less wordy than its ancestors, omitted the magnification and simply stated, "Mars will look as big as the full Moon to the naked eye!" Before long, the year was omitted, too. August 27, 2003, became August 27, and the Hoax became immortal. Indeed, years of stories contradicting the Hoax have failed to stamp it out. Tolerant readers point out that the Mars Hoax is not really a hoax, because it is not an intentional trick. The original composer probably believed everything he or she wrote in the message. If so, even the name of the Mars Hoax is wrong!

Here's what you should do on August 27th. Go outside at sunset and face west. The bright light you see shining through the twilight is lovely Venus. Grab a pair of binoculars and scan the sky around Venus. A few degrees to the right, you'll come across a little orange star-like object. That is Mars.

Now go back inside and delete that email.

:oops: And Monique. Thanks! I usually check stuff my mother sends me, but I was lazy this morning. I should have thought about it since I was out staring at the stupid moon just last night and didn't see any durn Mars hanging around. Hahaha! I love my mother, but she passes on the silliest things sometimes and I have to send it back with corrections, but she caught me on it this morning. Oh well. :oops:

He is busy grooming is fine face after dining. He is looking so good....his fur is really shiny and very soft. I wish he would bring this yellow back down to the healing blues. I hate to be a nag Shad...but seriously, yellow? That is SO last week! :roll:
 
Little bounce for the evening, but he'll get back down. Hugs for our sweet boy Shadow. So much excitement lately. I hope the title of tonight's adventure is an All night sleep for Pat. Wouldn't that be nice?
 
I get up for the +7 at 3 am every night anyway CD....but maybe I will have longer naps on either end tonight...maybe. Ya never know with Shadow so we shall see what the +4 brings.
I have potato chips but no makins for brownies...so I am not completely prepared for a pajama party.
I do have strips though...count 'em...3 that's three back-up boxes. And I am not even done with my working box....yep..
I am in Test Strip Heaven!
