Good afternoon on this lovely Friday. "Feel better" wishes to Garland, Rocket, Tipper, Tiberious, Mike's April and others who need them. And we're keeping our lips sealed regarding the pending big party tomorrow for Mr. Howell.

We also are not saying nuttin' about Gracie's cycle today although I will say the bounce finally cleared on the sixth cycle. I was already practicing the sk1u again :lol: :lol: :lol: Unfortunately, Principessa Gracie is headed for the eye vetty in an hour or so for her quarterly check-up on her meibomial glands. nailbite_smile nailbite_smile nailbite_smile I did take her in once when she was in a green surf around 50 late in the cycle and she did not come up but she always skyrockets from the NRT vet which boggles my mind since the eye vetty actually puts gunk in her eyes, etc. and the NRT vet just lightly touches her. Go figure. She has been so purry, purry today and every time I walk by her in her condo, she reaches out to me, tosses her head back in acknowledgment, and chirps. I LOVE THIS BABY GIRL!! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Sorry to be MIA last night. I was absolutely beat. I didn't get everything done that I wanted to on my last full-time day and Mike will be gone on Monday so I'm going to work from home on Monday to finish things up and then that is it ....only Wednesdays from now on out. It's going to be a challenge but at least there is a warm body there doing SOME work instead of no one doing it. :lol: :lol:

Good luck at the Vetty for Gracie. What is going on with her meibomial glands. You have probably told us about it, but brainfog is going on today with me. Glad Gracie cleared the bounce. It does sound like it was super hectic for you these last days. You must be so excited to be retiring. Are they throwing you a big retirement party to celebrate? Keep us posted on Gracie's appt and hope all goes well.

i was all set to tease you for sleeping in on your first day of retirement! :lol: no post til almost 2pm? life must be good. but then it just sounds like you're super busy!

hope you get to breathe soon. this retirement thing is ok.

hope you get good news from the vet! maybe the office has a smell that upsets gracie?

btw, i didn't get the job i applied for although they encouraged me to get on the sub's list - so i might do that. this life lazying around is a mixed blessing! sometimes a little dull, but home to care for my punkin!

Today does look so much better than yesterday, fo sho!!! I hope semi-retirement is everything you want it to be!!! More time with Mike!!!!! AWESOME!!

Hi everyone! Vet visit went well.

Guess I should clarify: I'm not retiring.....they talked me into working one day a week so as Julie said, I'm semi-retiring. So no parties yet (durn it). I will just be working every Wed for 8 hours instead of 10. And I am so excited about the extr time with Mike and kitties.

Ann: There are glands above the eye that can become clogged and that decreases the amount of tears and can start to be painful causing squinting. We discovered this on Gracie last year about the same time she was dxd with FD. She gets
topical cyclosporine for it and it really helps but she has to see the eye vetty every three months as they adjust her dosing.

Julie: I'm sorry about the job. But maybe you'll get an interview for the one you really wanted. Sleep in...well...I did sleep until 7:15 instead of 6. Mike had to be up early so he fed everyone else and got me up in time to give Grace her shot. Now that I'm going to have more time, we're going to teach him how to shoot....he's done it a few times and the shooting doesn't bother him...it's the dosing.

Patty: much better....I was really getting psyched for that dosecrease.

Christie: I know......you must be exhausted. I hope you get some rest tonight.

Congratulations on the change in your job status! And Gracie, darlin', you break a bounce like no other!

Zener seems to have broken his bounce on the 6th cycle as well and was blue from +10 last night until +6 or so this morning. It was his 1.25 dose reduction, so now we'll see if he and Gracie settle in!

YAY!!! semi-retired! awesome status! I hope it all works for you. I thought of dong that, but I know me... soon one day would be two and then two there... so made the decision none at all. :lol: How exciting for you. YAY!! and more time at home.

And Gracie - be good: no diving at pmps. :-D

The eye vetty told me she wouldn't be surprised if Gracie went up from the visit....maybe a bit delayed....and then came back down. Hmmm....maybe she knows sumpin' 'bout FD!! Gracie went up to 146 at +11 and now back down. Could be coincidence, too.

Anne: oh yeah....she does know how to break those bounces. Now if she'll just come down nice and easy tonight.

MIchelle: I am adamant that I not work more than one 8-hour day and they are clear on it; I may occasionally have to move that day around but I think it will work out.

Hi Julie, this looks very cool! I just ordered one of those lighted magnifying google things like jewelers wear. Will see how that works!

Go, go Gracie!!! Glad to hear the vetty visit went well. And 1 day a week is certainly retired enough to warrant you a Lantus Land celebration!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Julie: that is WAY cool...I'm going to get it for ME. No....he has bionic eyes (pilot) :lol: :lol: :lol: We just have always had me do it for consistency. I think it's a challenge to be consistent with one person doing it much less two. But I really need to go see my mom soon so he's going to start doing it. I already use a really good, 3X LED magnifying glass.

Ann: yes...and hoping for the same tonight. A little bounce from the vet but not much...just enough to make PMPS a nonevent. Thanks on the freedom and I cannot wait to catch up on sleep!
