The ER vet a couple days ago sent me home with 4 days work, but only half a pill a day, so 8 days..but that seems like of long to be on it.WOW, he did go low. For as long as they need it. Neko ended up long term on it to help with nausea, along with ondansetron.

Jack has been on it for at least 7 days that I can remember when we first started using it. He generally responds within 2-3 days now. His siblings Socks and Gypsy have also been on it. Socks has taken it again, for 7 days. Gypsy took it daily for 14 days and then every other day for another 7 and the vet said I can repeat that dose as needed for her. Since that mega dose, she generally just sticks to 7 days now. But, like Wendy said, it's really safe to use long term as the cat needs. Pancreatitis is another one of those individual, ECID journeys IMO. I'm so sorry you and Bubbas are dealing with it but hang in there, he's showing improvement every day from what I see on his SS.
