i need some help... i might need to go out of town the first week of Oct.
i tried to find pet sitting online, but there is no one i can find that has experience with diabetic cats, giving insulin, and measuring BG, and giving medication. while also watching his constipation situation.

how can i find out if there is any member in the group near my area that can help with that?

@Lisa and Merlyn (GA) lives in SF. I don't know if she'll see the tag. I'll try to get ahold of her via Face Book. Maybe she knows someone in your area.
The Bay Area is big. I was born in Oakland and grew up in Walnut Creek, and lived in Concord as a young adult.
I'm glad you have a month to try to find someone. I would add to your Subject Line about your inquiry, and keep it up there in your daily posts. Also, try to Main Health Forum. On Face Book there is a list of people willing to help out in their area. I'll try to find it for you.

Sending better poo vines and more consistent poo vines to Belle. Have you tried plain pumpkin?

You can also try to do a search for your city or town name or those close to you, in the Search... box at the top of the page.

Have you tried your local vet clinic or any clinic near you? Often they have either vet techs or other staff who will do petsitting on the side. Or they'll have a notice board for petsitters to put up notices.

Yes, i asked my Vet, she asked her technicians, she said they can usually do once a day feeding and scooping.
but 2 times a day and insulin, with their work schedule and kids at home would be more difficult.
she said she can recommand someone, she can give my email to that person, but i still havn't heard back.
she said something about having to measure BG at least 2 times a day will be tricky too.

Hope you find a solution to the petsitters.

Make sure it has no added sugars.

I get fresh pumpkin; steam or boil it, mash it up when soft; and freeze it in ice cube trays. Then I store it in a freezer bag and let a cube a day defrost for my kitties. I can't find canned pumpkin here in Australia, but I like making the fresh version as I know there are no additives and the fibre is there to help with Girlie's constipation issues. @Bron and Sheba and others taught me this. I'm sure everyone knows this, so apologies if I'm stating the obvious...
