Good morning!

@MrWorfMen's Mom
@CandyH and Catcat
@Nan & Amber

BG at AMPS is 392
I'm not sure if I should still be posting here daily, or if I should only post when I need help now? Going to try to keep Blaze on 0.75U for now, unless suggested otherwise. I work Monday through Thursday so testing gets a little harder for me during the week. We'll see how Blaze does this week.

Hi. Normally, a new post is started on the health forum when there is a new question or when help is needed. If you have already started a post and a discussion needs to go on for a few days on the same topic, you can use the same post. You have probably seen the daily posts people do in the Lantus forum, but things are managed a bit differently there since it is such a high-traffic/volume forum.

Okay thank you, I’m going into my second week of insulin with Blaze so feel like I need a lot of help right now:nailbiting: Blaze is on Novolin right now but will be switching to Lantus in about two weeks so I should probably post in the Lantus forum when I’m switching insulin’s?

Well live and learn. Maybe one snack at +1.5 and another at +4 instead. All you can do is play with that a little and my motto is better a little too high than too low so erring on the too much food side happened to me more times than I care to count. ;)

@MrWorfMen's Mom Totally agree! Will change snack snack times for +1.5 and +4 like you said and see how that goes! Will get a couple tests in today before I go back to work, since I have a long lunch!:)

sure looked like he bounced from the night-time cycle, and was "breaking" the bounce, maybe not as vigorously as he could have, because of food -- BUT you hadn't planned to be there, so better to be safe temporarily, manage the cycle when you know you have time to do so -- my opinion

My youngsters are doing great. My extra sweet Menace's BG is holding nicely and her little bro is just being his usual excessively cute self. My old guy is being very finicky about his food...getting hard to get enough calories into him and his legs are getting stiffer. Sadly it won't be long before I'll have to make that horrible decision. He's not rallying from his bad days as much as he was. He's also got dementia and his night howling has started to become a routine thing in the past week or so. He's over 21 and has had a very healthy life so it's heartbreaking to watch him go downhill. :(

Have your other kitties all adjusted to the new routine? Do they try to supervise Blaze's tests? It was fun here with 2 supervisors around! :smuggrin:

@MrWorfMen's Mom
Yay Menace! How amazing to see him go into remission. So happy for him! :cat: I have a kitty that is excessively cute too! Mitzy, my 3 year old little long haired tabby girl. She’s the baby and is always doing something cute. But oh gosh, poor Myster, that’s so hard to watch your healthy cat of 21 years decline that way. My heart hurts for you and Myster, but he’s so lucky to have you and vice versa. He’s had a happy, spoiled, loving and life. I’m so sorry Linda :( enjoy the time you have with him and hug and kiss him extra, as I’m sure you already do.

My other kitties (Tunechi, 7 year old grey and white tabby boy and Mitzy, 3 year old long haired tabby girl) are adjusting pretty well. They eat when Blaze does, they want snacks and treats when Blaze gets them and they are interested when it’s testing time. I definitely have two little supervisors!:D
