Oh boy. Cycle #4 at 2.25u. Looks like we're working on clearing last night's bounce in a BIG way! Down 100pts at +2. I prearranged to come in late this morning, so that I could get a +2 - which looks like we're gonna have a doozy of a cycle. The timed feeder will go off at +4 and give him a 3oz meal of his regular lc wet. DD is home until 1pm and has been briefed on hypo signs (I made her read the "How to Treat a Hypo" sheet too). She's going to attempt a BG test at +5 and let me know if she's successful or not. If not, I'll have to run home at lunch (+6) and get one.

I'll be able to get a +2 tomorrow morning as well - after that, I can't. So I guess I'll figure out that one when we get there. I believe DD will be home till 1pm most/all of this week... so perhaps we'll do some hands-on bg testing 101 tonight. She's observed, not not done it thus far.

Well, DD was not successful at getting blood, despite multiple attempts (ahhh I remember those days). I ran home at lunch and he was still at 222 (@ +6.5) so it seems the initial plummet was the only plummet. Maybe some day the Lantus cycle will make sense to me. LOL

Really, at this point, I'd be happy to see him spend a couple days in yellow (without venturing into pink/red) - as I feel like that may help him stop bouncing when he sees blue. Then again... ECID - and in his case, that acronym stands for "every CYCLE is different". @-) At least the bounces seem to be getting shorter in duration - so hopefully that's a good thing.

i suspect as you get closer to a good dose, Tink's bouncing might lessen. He's got 4 cycles at this dose - a couple more ought to let us see if he's going to come back into blue numbers after this bounce ends.

That big drop at +2 may be enough on its own to set off the next bounce. oh tink. ohmygod_smile slow down, little buddy!

glad you've got your daughter there. our son had just graduated from college the summer after punkin was diagnosed - he was home some and willing to test and shoot, so we got a couple of breaks. it sure helps.
