Good morning LL!

Tarragon is feeling pretty puny this morning. When I got home from work last night, he had had problems in the lb. I spent the next two hours cleaning up poopy paw prints throughout the house and trying to get the smell out of everything. Poor guy isn't feeling like himself and isn't eating a whole lot right now. He has been trying to get up a hair ball the last two days and there was hair in the lb so I wonder if that has something to do with it. If it's not one thing, it's another right now.

Hope you all have a good day!

Oh dear, poor Tarragon! It sounds like the hairball may be the problem to Tarragon feeling bad. And poor you, having to clean up all the yucky stuff! I hope Tarragon starts feeling better and eating better, too.

Poor Tarragon! Sorry to hear of his, and your troubles! Hoping you have a better arrival home from work tonight!

Hey Melissa - I saw over in Simon's condo that you use Tidy Cats for your guys. I know T has asthma, and I know they revolted against a litter switch in the past. I know very little about asthma, but I wonder if a very slow switch to a non-clay litter may help with Tarragon's coughing??? Maybe if you do just a teeny bit at a time, so they don't even realize a switch is happening. Just a thought from someone with no asthma experience...

Oh Poor Tarragon!! So sorry he's feeling poorly, hope he improves during the day!
Moonie is usually miserable when she has a hairball..She rarely does, but the coughing she does have-I always hope she'll hack it up, but she rarely does--I have been giving her olive oil & omega 3 oil for years--Think it moves the hairball material into the LB   That's why she rarely hacks them up..
Just a few drops everyday has worked for her,but I would check with vet first for anyone else.

Hope he feels better tonite--Hugs & Lubs from us!

Hi Melissa, sorry to hear Tarragon is not feeling so well today. Sending some healing vines to get rid of that hairball and have a better day today. I hope today is better and Tarragon starts eating, too. Have a nice and uneventful day.

Poor T - I hope he perks up! Hairballs are so icky for them....and us when we find them

Hope he settles down for you Melissa......have a good day!

Hi guys .. sorry to hear tarragon isn't feeling so hot .. hoping the hairball makes an appearance so his appy comes back and he starts feeling better soon .. have a great day!

Hi Melissa and Tarragon,
We are sending "get out that hairball" vines to Tarragon and hope he will be feeling better soon. I tried the NaturVet hairball gel on Rusty and he liked it and the hairball did get out:

I read somewhere that hair can ball up and accumulate in the intestines and that in order to get around the hair the stool becomes liquidpoo. Does this sound like what happened this morning to Tarragon? I hope he will get relief soon.

As I recall from trying it once with Stu, TidyCats really cakes up like cement on cats' feet. I remember it also as being dusty. Have you tried "The World's Best Cat Litter" (made from ground up corn kernels)? It is wonderfully soft on the feet, low in dust, very effective, and contains no perfumes or dyes. It is also more expensive, initially, but lasts an incredibly long time.

Feel better, Tarragon!

Poor Tarragon! Fingers and paws crossed that the hairball clears soon and he is back to his furry purry self! We used Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat (the basic one in the blue bag), which is recommended by Dr. Lisa, and have now switched to the Breeze. Though, for liquipoo, the Breeze is no bueno. Lots of cleaning!

Hope you have a good day!

Sorry to hear that Tarragon isn't feeling well. Morgaine used to get hairballs weekly but now she doesn't seem to get them. I also give her 1 capsule of fish oil daily, mixed into her food so maybe that helps her.

Morgaine had diarrhea (sp?) for five days before we started insulin and I used slippery elm on day 4 to clear it up. I guess you need to know what is causing this but the slippery elm coats the intestines and allows for things to clear up. It is harmless if done correctly and only for a few days at a time. You need to get pure slippery elm powder, mix 1 tsp it in 1 cup of boiling water and stir and simmer for a few minutes. Then let it cool and add to food or give separately if T will take it that way. It cleared up Morgaine's nasty D in less than 2 days. I also give Morgaine an animal probiotic once a day in her food.

Awwww poor T, i'm sorry he had LB problems yesterday........and poopy pawprints.....YUCK! You're such a good momma for cleaning them up, what would the kitties do without their servants?!?!

We had problems with clumpy litter feet here and tracking litter around that smelled like pee (gross) Ella recommended we try out Worlds Best Cat Litter, i bought a bag last weekend which was $10 for just a little bag and i was really hesitant to spend that much on just a tiny bag, but she's right it does last a long time and clumps beautifully and so far Leo hasn't tracked any litter out and it really does take care of the odor problems too. It says on the bag that for 1 kitty the litter should last a month and you can flush the deposits as well!!! I'm lovin it so far, and Leo took to the change like a little champ.

Get better little T and have a great evening too Melissa, thanks for keeping us in your thoughts as well ;-)

Poor Tarragon! It IS always something with our precious picky eaters! Zener is pretty punk today too, but it's high numbers and not poopy problems. Hope Mr T feels better soon!
