Good Morning, Everyone. Happy Caturday!
Rusty's range of numbers is still too high, so I decided to fatten his dose by 1 drop: I'm calling it 1.5fat and it measures 2.33mm with the digital calipers on the Terumo syringe. He's been sitting too long in these numbers, either because he needs more insulin, or because I have not yet figured out how to measure on the Terumos the same dose he was getting on the Monojects. I was going to wait to do this until our houseguests (who arrive on Monday) were gone, but that won't be until next Wednesday and today is only Saturday.
Rusty had a good night sleeping with his beans. He finished all his nighttime food at some point (maybe close to dawn, as seems to be his pattern and is one reason why a higher AMPS is not too worrisome; but I consider "higher" to be in the 140 range, not the 170!!) This morning we had a good shot with the TTs (only a tiny bit of insulin on the tip of the syringe after shooting), and a good breakfast of Wellness turkey. He's napping in his little bed, waiting to go outside.
The "ChrisMoose" party yesterday afternoon and evening was great. Our hosts had Xmas lights on their outdoor trees, Xmas decorations up, and a very summery menu (cook-out stuff and great salads).
Off soon to the farmers' market. Wishing you all a great weekend,
Ella & Rusty
