Hi everyone,

Just checking in after a full day on the Kunjamuck river. Beautiful, very cool day, 12 beaver dams, lots of mud while climbing over them.

Rusty was happy to see us at PMPS. He ate some of the fuds left for him. He sounds pretty good, if still congested.

Home tomorrow. Wishing all a good weekend. Exhausted tonight!

ms?? That seems like a lot of beavers!!!

I know nothing about beavers....do lots of beavers live in the same dam or is it "one dam to a customer"?
They cut trees and shrubs with their enormous teeth and build dams to control the flow of the water and to insure that they have deep enough water to go into and out of their "lodges". They build the dams and their lodges out of tree branches, mud, grass, floating logs, etc. They are known as "Natures Architects".
