Yesterday.

Saw some greens yesterday so I'm happy not to have increased. We've found the right dose for Ruby to manage for now and hope we won't have to go any higher. Time will tell.

When we were at the oncologist's office last week, I met a kind woman who brought her 18 year old cat to see our same doctor. He was a friendly, gentle, caramel colored tabby named Milo and he had mast cell lymphoma. His mom said that the doctor gave him a few months to live, 4-6 months at the most, but he's been chugging along for a year and a half now on prednisolone alone and has never been treated with chemo. This gave me a lot of hope about the treatment plan the oncologist has us on. I cherish every day I have with my cuddly Ruby.

Hope everyone has a great day! :bighug:

Treatment for mast cell is different from that for SCL. Depending on where the mast cell tumour is, it could be treated with surgery and no chemo. Reminds me of an old shelter kitty I knew (when I worked there), who had a mast cell tumour on her head and unfortunately in a location that couldn't be removed. :( She still lived well past 6 months with no meds except for treating the hyperT she also had. Poor kitty, no one wanted to adopt an older kitty with a tumour. :(:(

I too am hoping you have a long time with Ruby. :bighug:

+4 = 102. This cat is making me a little loopy. I wonder at what point tonight she will start to bounce to yellows again.

And here goes Ruby starting her slow, all day slide down. She's been feeling pretty good it seems. She chased Olive around the house today and now she's sitting on the high back of the couch behind me like a soft, very expensive pillow. :p

:)
Ha ha...
True story: I went to a financial advisor back when I had my first diabetic cat, and he asked us to write down all our monthly expenses - mortgage, utilities, food, transportation, pet care, all that jazz.
When he was going over our numbers he got to the pet care one and looked up across the desk at us with a funny expression on his face.
"Umm, how many pets do you have?"
"What kind of pet?"
...
"How old is he?"
LOL!
