The last little while Neko had gotten into a pattern of throwing me a before bed test number telling me I had to get up in the wee hours to test her, but on the nights I wouldn't be getting up anyway for rowing. Normally I would have been rowing this morning, so of course she gave me a "go ahead, sleep in" number last night. Fooled her! We are off early mornings for a couple of weeks.

All's fine with Neko this morning, 5 P's in place. We've had some whacking and a good roll in the nip. A couple days ago I cut off the catnip buds and left them on the floor of the solarium. Neko's been lovin' on them since. She's shown me her tummy for rubs and now she's chilling in her memory foam bed.

OT: DM sent me some photos taken yesterday of her and DA and DF with the newest addition to the extended family, a great great nephew. Everyone is doing well. Thanks to everyone who's been sending vines.

Sounds like things are doing well for you (today anyway!)

Extra sleep for you and a "whack and roll" session for Neko! Followed by some tummy rubs and comfy snoozes on the memory foam bed

Life is good!

I've always wanted to grow my own nip, but there are too many cats running loose in the neighborhood to have it outside, and well, inside it wouldn't stand a chance either....lol

Nice AMPS Neko!! You surf pretty for your mamabean today!

Neko, the incredible bouncing cat! Ahh, we know all about that! Settle down now, Neko. It takes too much energy to bounce like that!

It's great to hear that your DM and DA are doing well. Prayer works wonders!

HA! I just told Anna & Bailey that Neko WAS a Bounce Gold Medalist - fooled me, too, Neko! :lol: Seriously though, I just looked at Neko's SS, & she's doing great! (anti-jinx)

Fresh catnip is wonderful, isn't it? Sadly we can't have it in the house. Simon loves it on his scratcher, but everytime I put the catnip on it Tigger comes in & pees all over it!! Now what's that all about?!! Poor Simon has to be content with the catnip outside.

Have fun rowing, Wendy - you must be in crazy good shape!

So glad your parents are doing well. Max likes to throw curves too. Maybe he learned from Neko or perhaps Gracie or Eddie or Chi Chi? Who taught these cats to read?

Neko's slipping again. I whispered 117 or 118? to her just before I tested her. I shouldn't be able to guess that closely. :lol: :lol: I can usually tell by the softness of her fur whether she's in good numbers and she was almost but not quite there. I wonder what curve ball she's setting up for tonight. :?

@Chris, Liz, Tricia, Carla, Suzanne, Elise - Thanks for checking in on my little girl. She does like to zoom up sometimes before onset. :roll: At least she didn't see pink, or at least I just missed it. :lol: I grow out catnip in a hanging pot so I can control the amount dispensed. Theo prefers dry nip but Neko would decimate a plant if she had access.

That's impressive you can tell by Neko's fur if she's in good #s - hope she has a good night but not scary good.

I really like your hanging catnip idea - I cage mine until its large enough the cats can't damage it, but hanging's easier. The deer eat it, too, at least the little fawn does - but she could still be learning what's ok & not. As an added plus the bees & beneficials love it, too.
