Good Morning of the Full Green Corn Moon!

Stu didn't eat everything in his automat last night, but I think he slept well. He has eaten 3 installments of breakfast thus far this morning in addition to taking his pill in butter, contributing mightily to the litterbox, and checking out the chipmunk's back door. The chef is working on the menu for tonight's party. So far, to stay with the theme of the full green corn moon, he and Mannie are planning to grill shrimp wrapped in green-corn husks right in the fire. That way the kitties won't have to eat the corn itself. Stu also thinks some green catnip can be mixed into the tuna canapes, and that the turkey burgers can be seasoned with some of the green spices that Spot contributed (maybe basil). And, of course, there will be the field-greens salad and the green catmint parfait. All kitties are invited to bring other delicacies to fit the theme of the party. And, of course, wear GREEN!

p.s. The beans are going canoeing today, so hopefully Stu will be so busy preparing for the party that he will keep himself in safe numbers. We'll be back by +9, and will leave lunch in his automat (probably Cowboy Cookout).

decorations in place...nice green candles with greens at
every table...it's going to be so much fun!

Morning Stu & Ella!! Moonie is all excited about tonite, but is wearing a silver dress cause she cant get to the green numbers--
OK so she will have to wear her green Tiara for the green corn Full Moon!!!
She is also getting out the tents as it is raining in Florida!! These cats live much better than we do!!!!!
Nice yellow start to the day--Stu is doing so great with his numbers!! Amazing! Great care & devotion from his beans!!

Mmmmm, Stu, the menu sounds yummy! Checkers likes to bring tuna canapes, so he will be sure to mix in soem fresh green catnip. His mama bean has basil growing too, so that ight be a good addition, too.
He'll be wearing his green suit, whatever his bg is.
Ella, you'll be back from paddling when you read these messages, so hope you had a fantastic day. :smile:

Stu, the menu sounds so yummy! I'm heading out for Raja and Shad-O's place now, my mom is on a pokefest and I want to get away as soon as possible.

Hey guys, if it is still too cloudy there tonight, we can hop on our express beams and dance on them above the clouds. Oh that would be fun, riding the swirling beams and hopping from one to another to dance with our friends above the clouds and under the moon. -- Tess

Stu - everything sounds great! I wanted to bring taco bell (my favorite) but my bean said no, there's nothing green about taco bell. cat(2)_steam I spent the morning while she gone ironing my green dress (between snacks that is) and now I have to take a nap, but then I'll see you there! - Muffin

P.S. It's not gonna rain tonight for our big full moon bash. Like Tess says, we'll just float above the clouds on the moonbeams, niptinis in hand.

Hi Everyone, I had a really nice paddle with our friends, who are getting ready for the 90-mile canoe race in 2 1/2 weeks. DH is coming down with a cold, so he missed a perfect day on the water: sunshine, cool temps., wonderful views of the High Peaks. It was a perfect Adirondack summer day. I didn't get a bg reading until +10, but Stu was just a little higher than yesterday at that time, and started out at about the same place, so I think that the day was about the same as yesterday: probably some green and certainly blue. DH said he was fine all day and enjoyed his food. Looking forward to visiting condos tonight. And have a little trepidation about Stu's visit to the vet tomorrow for his blood and urine screenings, the results of which will be sent to Hypurrcat. (appointment is in the mid morning). Ella, I'm very glad you got to go and have a good paddle. It seems like our Summer was too short this year. Try not to worry about Stu's vet visit, you're just getting more numbers to help him get better.

Hi Ella, I'm glad you had a nice day for your paddle. Sorry hubby couldn't make it, but Stu must have been happy to have daddy bean home with him.
Try not to worry about tomorrow's bloodwork, It's gonna be fine, and he will have his treatment. I said so!! :-D

Hey Stu, I've got all my stuff together, and will be heading over to Shadow's in an hour. I'm all set to do whatever chores you throw at me. Gonna make my famous tuna canapes when I get there.

Stu - Emma is looking forward to the party tonight. She's spent the last several days with 5 dogs, and can't wait to hang with some kitties and have more sophisticated food than what the dogs have been eating!

Hope all goes well at the vet tomorrow Ella, and you get some good info from the bloodwork!

Thanks, everyone, for your good wishes for Stu's blood work tomorrow. Tonight he has a BLUE PMPS!!! Today and yesterday have been good days for his bg numbers.
So the chef is already at the party, cooking up a storm. I hope that the rain stops and the moon comes up so that all our kitties can do their moon dance under the Full Green Moon.

Stu, Moonie is off to the party, with the tents, wearing her green dress which I had to force her to wear as it is a Corn Green Full Moon Party!!
Ella we are sending Healing good bloodwork vines to Stu tomorrow--Paws & fingers crossed for all tests to be good!!

I am elated that you had a great paddle today - nice and relaxing, yes? Gorgeous day, nice scenery. what more could anyone want.

And to have Stu be blue at pmps! That is great in itself.

I wish you much success and a little luck at the vet tomorrow, with good BW results for Stu. i do so hope that he is a candidate for the I-131. Paws crossed so many times over on that one. Good luck!

It looks like we're joining the pajama party tonight! 65 at PMPS +4.5!! I never even thought to feed the 176 at PMPS, since it was a high blue and since Stu always seems to go up between PMPS and +4. Not tonight!! But I had to start a new box of strips, and I suppose it could be the strips?? Whatever. Stu joined the 12% Merrick Thanksgiving Day Dinner crowd and I'll re-test in a little while. I hope we won't be up all night. DH is getting a cold and I don't want to get it!!

Welcome to tonight's PJ party Ella! Ya know - I would not have fed the 176 either. Guess one sometimes just never knows. Stu is probably just getting his BG levels in shape for his vet visit tomorrow....

Beautiful numbers for Stu! I hope the vet visit goes well tomorrow and all the test come back the way you want them to so you can get on with his treatment.

Tori just called home and said the food at the party is great as usual. They are so lucky to have Stu and the rest of the kitchen crew.
 
+5 is 67 so I'm going to wing it and go to bed. I fed him some 9% Merrick (Turducken) and put out Cowboy Cookout (5%) in his automat for now and for +9. He's in his basket, usual for this time of night. He'll probably bounce!
