Stella's Condo

Hello eveyone!

Stella has had bursts of energy today, and is chasing things I don't see around the apartment to amuse herself. She is happy and frisky...I can't ask for better than that!

I seem to be having trouble getting her BG test done, I used 4 strips today. Definitely not on my game. :lol:

give her a teaspoon of lc and retest in 30 minutes, please.

Hey Jill & Alex! Yes, I had given Stella a teaspoon of LC before I even saw your post. Thanks for watching out for Stella! ;-) I appreciate the eyes on my little loved one. I guess we won't be going to sleep as early as I had thought. :lol: Usually she darts up...but with only a +1 improvement, I guess Stella wants a dose decrease. I hadn't expected this at all after her larger BG's this AM cycle. So strange. It just goes to show you, our furry friends just want to keep us on our toes! Well, we are going to have some fun with her feather and sister Boo. See ya soon!

nice 50s surf! keep an eye on things.
please don't over do playing/exercising when kitty is running low. exercise can lower bg levels and you don't want stella going any lower.

do you know the drill?

1 tsp gravy from the high carb food, wait 15-20 minutes and retest.

keep her above 50 and monitor so that if she wobbles (which is common) she doesn't go low without being attended.

you don't want her surfing in the 40's. that's just a little lower than you want.

go ahead and give her more high carb gravy than you've been giving and make sure she gets up above 50. that's a long time for her to have been in the 40's.

Finally out of the 40's Oh my...what a night! Stella is doing fine. Healthy appetite. No shakes. No glazed eyes etc... thank goodness. Tomorrow, dose reduction.
