Happy Friday!

It's been cloudy and damp all day here and tons of mosquitoes out. One of the ways you pay for living in the forest I guess. :shock: This is the worst it's ever been here. When the newscasters said this was a bad year for mosquitoes they were telling the truth! You can't leave the house around here without spraying yourself first and bringing some spray with you. We already had one in the house this morning that got me before I got it.

Racci was feeling fine this morning and exhibited all p's. She got cranky however, when I brushed her and went off to take a nap in the bedroom, away from me so I can't bother her. :lol: I guess I'll let her rest for a while. I need to finish a dose of meds she didn't take and get a good look at her bottom in bright light.

I'm going to try to visit some condos today so see you soon! I hope all kitties are feeling good or better and send healing vines to those who need them.

Nice to hear all the P's are in place for Racci! I hope her bottom is feeling better:) Nice amps there Missy!

Sorry to hear about the mosquitoes. They are the only bugs I kill. Everyone else gets re- located to the great outdoors but them!

Hi Tamara, Racci didn't complain too much when I cleaned her bottom this morning but I couldn't get a good look since she insisted on me doing it by her food dish in the kitchen! There was enough light to make sure she was clean but that was about it. :lol: I'll get a good luck when I test in a little bit tho. I think she may feel a little better. I hate those mosquitoes! There's something about blood from others going into you that freaks me out!!!

Rhiannon, Racci would love Shadowland! No brushes??!! She said she's on her way! I know about the West Nile and keep thinking about it every time I get stung! nailbite_smile

Glad Racci seems to be feeling better and a cleaned bottom can only help!
I have no use for mosquitos they have no redeeming qualities at all. Wish we had enough bats around to eat them all up.

Oy on the mosquitoes! Be careful. There is a lot of West Nile going around here and you have a lot more mosquitoes than we do. Have a great day Melanie!

C'mon little Racci, let your bean take care of you!! Hope you guys work it out :razz: It gets like that here on the edge of town with the mosquitos too, horrrrrible!! Hope Racci gets over her bottom issue asap, for both your sakes!

How nice to come back and see visitors! I did some chores and then took pictures of Racci and was working on cropping the one I wanted, had just gone back to visiting, and then both Racci & I took a nap! I didn't even realize I fell asleep or for how long! I woke on Alexa & Reuben's condo about to reply. :lol: I missed Racci's nadir but she must have been fairly low but not too low, because her +7 was 68. :oops:

Racci is definitely cranky and not herself today. She's not eating well either. I've had to coax all meals except breakfast, which she's always hungry for.

Leslie, you're so right! I can't think of one redeeming quality a mosquito has! What do they possibly do to help this earth? I don't think we have too many bats around here. We do have a lake so maybe the frogs eat them but the real problem is that the winter last time wasn't cold enough to kill them off.

Ann, We're about a half hour from town out in the country. There are a few shops about 5 miles away but the real shopping is about 15 miles away. It's all forests, lakes, national park and homes & farms. Our development is right next to the national park so it's miles and miles of forest. Most of the homes were cut into the woods with areas cleared. Since it's so far out the people who work have a long commute so it stayed unspoiled for a long time. My son travels about 2 hours each way every day! ugh!

I know Melissa, It's gotten so I spray myself even in the house since DH keeps opening the door and talking instead of closing it right away! I wish I could spray Racci with Off too!

Alexa, I finally just grabbed Racci and put her up on the ottoman in the light where I could see her to check her out and clean her again. She was such a little stinker today. When she saw I wasn't taking no for an answer then she let me take care of her.

Girl - I know what you mean about mosquitoes!! Ours haven't been bad this year (and they don't much like Doug or Joseph anyway), but when Doug redid our deck (two summers ago) and was digging around in the yard - :o - Jessica nor I could even go out the back door, much less walk into the back yard! So, we watched the progress from the windows. :sad: Guess some of us are just sweeter than others ;-) ...'it's a gift...and a curse' :-D And, I hear you about standing in the open door talking!!! Actually, Joseph is worse than Doug, but they both do it. :YMSIGH:

Racci such nice numbers!!!! I think you need that electronic bug thingy that you put on your belt or on your person somewhere & it is supposed to keep all bugs off of you!!--Saw it on TV confused_cat

You're lucky. Between the warm winter and all the rain we've had,, the mosquitoes are the worse they've been here. They all love my blood too! I'm always the first to get bit.

I've seen those on tv but don't know if they really work. It might be worth a try this year the way the rain refuses to quit. Thanks for the wishes for tomorrow. Tomorrow's another day, as they say. Hopefully she'll be in a better mood.
