Good Morning, LL!
Yesterday
STILL food dancing. I have yet to find a flavor he will eat more than once, but I can sort of get him to go back to Mixed Grill flavors of FF or Sophisticat. I just weighed him and he's at 14lbs. Is it normal for a cat to lose weight after a diet transition? Since he was on HC dry food until 7/26, so he's been on a wet diet for almost exactly a month. Is 1lb too much to lose in a month?
I am just concerned he is not getting his calories. If anyone has any other suggestions for foods that I haven't tried yet (I'm still having a hard time finding afforadable EVO or Natura near me) -- I've been logging it in the SS.
He has been eating a little more these last few days, but I've been following him around with the food dish and holding it up to him to eat. So now I have to get up for work earlier because I need to stand in the kitchen and hold his food for him, otherwise he's too picky about eating it on his own. ohmygod_smile I put out 5.5oz of food yesterday, and he ate perhaps 4.4oz. I have tried every combo of warming it up + adding water (sometimes warming it w/o H20, sometimes only putting warm H20 and no heating, not warming it up...) he isn't satisfied with any of them.
Otherwise his energy and mood is great -- if I wasn't counting the oz of food he ate every day, I wouldn't think there was anything wrong with his behavior.
Have a good day everyone!
