Morning LL! Moonie is in great form today-- She has been doing well lately & is in happy spirits--Till the rain comes-then she sort of hibernates.
Last Nite: PMPS 209

Looking stormy here already! I do not think I can take another natural disaster--
We will probably be evacuated as this is a barrier island, but where do I go??
Will check out my options in next few days..YIKES too much too soon.. nailbite_smile @-) nailbite_smile
Hope the Horrocane passes us by & goes off the mainland--
Moonie will NOT like to be moved! I would take her steps, her bed, and tons of food with us, not to mention her insulin & syringes & meter & strips . My DH wants to stay--NOT!
We only had to evacuate once for Gloria, but not since.
Oh Well, Ir's in the hands of the Higher Power!

Yikes! We're expecting wind and rain from Irene here, too, but we're so far inland it should primarily be a non-event for us. I sure hope Irene stays far enough away that you don't have to evacuate! I'm with you...staying when you're supposed to evacuate is a risk not worth taking!

It's a few days away, so enjoy today!

Hi Roni, I was thinking of you this morning and wondering whether you, DH and Moonie will need to evacuate. Do you have a plan where you might go or someone you could stay with in the event that happens? I am just hearing bits and clips and also the Carolinas. Hang in there and sending some calming vines and scritches to Moonie. Keep us posted. Hugs and lubs.

I hope you don't have to evacuate...wishing there was somewhere that you could go to get away from it's path....
so much to think about and take along if you do have to get out...oh my.....

Hey Roni & Moonie,
I sure hope the storm moves out to sea and you don't have to evacuate. If you do, you could come visit us! It's only a 7-hour drive!!

Moonie looks good this morning. Thanks for your observations on Rusty's dose. I think I will fatten it this evening, depending on how the day goes.

Have a good day and don't stress too early about the storm. Just get your stuff together "in case".

OK!! Moonie is surfing the 80's :mrgreen: --
The New Temptations are much smaller than the old ones so I figure one lg =2 small..So on occassion,I give her like 6 small tempt.=3 lg and it keeps her numbers up--
I already put the can of HC near her testing spot, but so far, no need for it.
I gave her 6 tempts. at +2 and 6 at +3, so she is surfing :mrgreen:
***Not recommended for newbies as you arent well aquainted with your kitty's BG changes yet.--And this is my own way of dealing with Moonie as sometimes when she goes really low, she wont eat wet food, when she has had her fill.
So I use the Temptations rather than karo sometimes, as she will always eat them--
But remember they are kitty krack so never feed unless you have to. They will raise the numbers in the next cycle possibly quite a bit.

BTW I will be going to my DB's house in Conn. if we have to evacute,It's on a hill :-D

But it will be empty so not so bad for us--Jusr an hour away--

Evening! WE will probably have to evacuate--Most likely going to Conn. to my brother"s house which is empty, as we have no where else to go.He is in the Hamptons...Unless we can get a hotel somewhere near here--Pouring right now, another small storm we have had this summer!! Just unbelieveable the weather everywhere--As we are on the coast we must go to higher ground, unless the Horricane changes course, which I pray it does--Or Moonie will be going for her first trip ever!
Moonie has never been in the car for more than 15 min, & Conn is an hour away!
Prayers for the Northeast that all will be well & no one is hurt--
Sending nice dreams, calm sleepus, and good health & well being for all--
Luv & Hugs from us!--Taking my computee with us! Tomorrow will let U know if we can stay here!
