WCR: The P's are ok, but there was poop outside of the LB this morning. She seems to be getting peskier, she's even more needy today. She also went after my breakfast, which is very odd for her. I haven't changed anything about her diet, I don't want to feed her more even though she is SOOOO hungry, and maybe the present she left me on the floor this morning was her response.

Magnolia sure is a pretty girl. I had an orange female once and vet told me they are rather rare - most orange cats are male.

That's a lowish pink..hope she can find her way to at least a yellow right?
I remember when Shadow was first dx...what an insatiable appetite he seemed to have. Drove me crazy!! maybe Magnolia is feeling a little more hungry due to her higher numbers and remember that when they don't have enough insulin they are basically not able to utilize their food. They are basically starving. Maybe others will have some other suggestions...but for me, I think that if she is hungry you should feed her. She will not be as ravenously hungry once she gets to a higher insulin dose...better regulated...does that makes sense?

She is behaving exactly as she did when first DX. I don't remember why, but at that time, I didn't over feed her. I am familiar with the why and can't wait until she's regulated and back to normal! I can try to give her extra food, maybe I'll feed her every 2 hours, instead of every 3. Thanks.

come down from pink, Magnolia!

When Lucy was unregulated, she ate twice as much as she does now. Of course, Lucy got fat...

I had a female orange tabby, as well. Only 1 in 4 orange cats are female. On the other hand, I had a male calico which is extremely rare. Odder still, I got them as kittens at the same time. George and Gracie -- my 2 mutant kitties.
