Happy Saturday!

Yesterday's condo

8/23 AMPS=140; +2=133; +7.5=130
8/23 PMPS=209; +2=131; +4=112

8/24 APMS=144; +2=99; +4=103; +7.5=108
8/24 PMPS=115; +1=97; +2=74

Lucy's numbers are much better this morning.
If she was bouncing on Thursday and yesterday, I think it's cleared now.
She really had a hard time coping with it this time, and didn't feel well in yellow.
She's feeling good today, but she had another diarrhea this morning.
So I'm going to call the vet tomorrow morning, and start her on metronidazole.

I'm also worried a little about Ginger today.
She vomited a part of her breakfast this morning and Thursday morning.
She's feeling totally fine, but it's rare for Ginger to vomit anything other than hairballs.

I hope everyone's having a nice day!

I'm glad Lucy is feeling better today and giving you nice numbers. I hope Ginger's tummy is better.

Lucy isn't quite staying green yet, but I think she's getting there.....
I just came back from the Costco shopping, and have a bad headache.
Costco shopping almost always gives me a headache.
I'm going to nap with Lucy for a bit....

Hi Mariko, I'm glad to hear that Lucy is feeling a little better today. Sorry about that headache, Costco is pretty overwhelming.

Have you ever tried Lucy on novel proteins for her IBD? You mentioned that you had tried her on raw food, but was wondering if you'd tried something novel like venison, lamb, duck, pheasant, or kangaroo? There's actually a huge variety of proteins available locally, more than what I've listed. My two (and several other cats I know) are particularly fond of kangaroo.

Re: 8/24 Lucy PMPS=115

Lucy's numbers are looking more like hers, and she's feeling pretty good.
Her appy is good too. She ate the 1st dinner by herself.
But she had the 2nd diarrhea of the day about an hour before the dinner....
It doesn't seem to be bothering her much though.
I'm going to pick up metronidazole tomorrow, and hopefully it will clear it.

Wendy, when she was on raw, she only ate chicken and turkey.
(And Ginger only ate Elk and Venison.)
I didn't try kangaroo, but she was very stubborn about sticking to poultry.
Now of course she's not allowed to eat raw, she really wants Ginger's venison, so I think she'll eat other meat now.
Thank you for your suggestion. I scratched out all raw for Lucy, but I think I'll try some exotic meat and see how she'll do....

Re: 8/24 Lucy PMPS=115

Sorry to hear that both of the kitties have upset tummies. Hope this passes quickly. But even with an upset tummy, Lucy is having a lovely day. Happy Caturday, Mariko. Hope your headache has gone away.
