AM report ---> Yesterday's experiment with a split shot worked beautifully. I just stared dumbfounded at the meter this morning. Beautiful number, but scary. I'm not sure what I am going to do when it gets to AM+2 and it is time to give him the second part of his AM dose. We are in uncharted waters for Bastian.

Given Bastian was still rising at +2, I went ahead with the full 2nd half of his dose.

Anyone have any advice?

PM report---> This split shot approach is working well for Bastian. However, he is very quick to pop up into the 300s (and likely higher) without insulin on board.

Good morning Venita

this is unfamiliar territory to me too.
I have no suggestions, other than monitoring this nice AMPS
beginning with a +1.

Last nite you gave a second dose at +2 of .50u, ... I know you don't like all nightners, who does?
The only thing I can offer is spot checks are key to seeing what's happening, they may not always be good numbers, but at least you would get a better idea of what's happening.
It was quite interesting yesterday thou.

Cheer up!
