Ok. I was also going to ask about the vacation dose and when to start. I leave next week … Friday sept 1

I think you could go up to 1.0 now. I think .75 is a good vacation dose at this time but you would start it one or two days before you leave.
 
So when I go on vacation, my friend is coming to do insulin. She won’t be testing or staying at my house. I have my mom coming in the afternoon to check up on my cats and feed /water changes.
I won’t have anyone testing Fiona though or here to do the +1,+2 snacks so she doesn’t drop.
Also on that Monday morning, I have no one to give insulin as my friend has to work. I will be home Monday night for the nighttime dose. My mom has bad eyes so no way can she give a shot.
One missed dose won’t be too bad correct?
 
I agree with Elise, I think you have room to go up to 1.0 unit. Next Friday is a long ways away. Post about vacation dosing a couple days before you leave. A cat's insulin needs can change over time, so it's hard to predict now what might be good a week from now. The one missed dose should be fine. Pretend it was a fur shot.

I’m going to increase tomorrow morning. I have a migraine tonight and I’m afraid I won’t wake up enough to test in the middle of the night.
