8/24 Bob Update - Solostar Pen???

Happy Saturday everyone! I'm posting a little late I guess, just had lots to do today. I didn't check Bob's PMPS because I was just too mentally tired. I already know what it is. He's surfin the pinks and dips his toes in the red every now and then. :-| I'm pretty sure Satan created dry cat food. :twisted:

I bought my first Lantus pen. The only thing I know is that I'm never to put air in it. Anything else I should know? Do I have to worry about that little dial at the end or anything? I got it for $25!!!! So nice - I got that coupon and Target agreed to sell me one pen at a time. It's nice to get something for a decent price for a change. I think I've single-handedly supported my vet and Petco for the last two months. :lol:

There is a wonderful video made by Julie (and GA punkin) on how to draw up a dose with a vial and pen. It is excellent and how we were able to learn to use the pen.

You don't bother with the dial. You just take off the plastic cat and treat the pen exactly as you would a vial. You use a syringe at the gasket and draw off your insulin.
