That would be great, Rhiannon. I just hope his +2 is UP a bit. Unfortunately, the only thing I can usually predict with Bj is that his +2 is going to be lower. nailbite_smile

Nice AMPS! Bj likes to keep you guessing, maybe he will stay steady or rise a bit this time just to surprise you. Thinking positive thoughts in case that will help.

Really nice surfing for Bj today! So he did surprise you after all, by not getting wild numbers. Jasper is doing fine, he decided to surprise me this morning :o but is back down to business now. Hope you and Bj have a nice uneventful evening!

I'm a little nervous tonight because I like to keep him well fed during the first 3 hours of cycle but he doesn't have much of an appetite. I wasn't able to get him to vet this week and his nose is bothering him terribly today :sad:

Just venting. I got to sleep "early" last night only to have the ********* phone ringing early and frequently. Can't win.

Could you try warming his food a bit? If he's having nose trouble, he may be able to smell the food better if it's warmed. (Has he got a cold? What are his nose issues, i.e. why is it bothering him?) Has he got any favourite treats you could crush and sprinkle over the food? Does he like parmesan? Have you got Fortiflora (probiotic) that you could sprinkle on the food? Baby food is also often a favourite if you have any (though watch out for the ingredients, no garlic/onions/grains/sugars/cornstarch etc. - BeechNut or Gerber Stage 2 are popular, safe choices).

Hang in there. I'd probably try for a (+3), and maybe try some of those food ideas to see if he'll eat a little after all.

I managed to get him to eat but thanks a bunch for the suggestions. He's still surfing, thank goodness.

From my brief internet research it appears he has upper resperatory infection. Bad sneezing and snot issues and some discharge from the eyes. And bad breath. It hasn't gotten better in a month so he's going to vet this week for sure. My girlfriends cat similar symptoms and it was bad teeth they had to pull and by god it was expensive. Oops, gotta feed. Thanks Jane.

Nice day Mike and BJ. Charlie had 2 teeth pulled earlier this year (bad breath is a sure sign), but she never had the respiratory issues you describe. I would imagine rotten teeth could lead to infection which could lead to other things, so definitely take BJ to the vet so they can get things under control. Know what you mean about needing to sell copies of BJ's SS to be able to pay for all the test strips. It's utterly insane how much I pay for them right now in Europe (something like 123 euros for 100 test strips). At the rate we're going, we go through 100 in 2 weeks, so this is getting REALLY expensive. Need to find a solution! Good luck with the vet and keep up the good work. You're heading in the right direction!

J.D. had a really smelly mouth when he needed a dental.

You might want to try the Arkray Meter and Arkray Strips I'm just about to place an order and get 500 strips for about $95, so that's 19 cents a strip.
