Good morning ~O) ~O)

I'm not sure how I always do it, but I always find stuff to do at night that keeps me awake while I ought to be sleeping! I-) Last night, it was quickly reading through a few condos. I didn't get to comment in most condos, but I got to a few. Hope everyone's kitties are doing well today!!

Shasta woke me up at 4:30am this morning. I was so tired that I actually thought it was time to get up and start my day. I swear I hear my alarm, but I guess it was just Shasta. Her appy is good this morning AND I didn't have to hold her bowl to her face!!!!!!! woo-hoo!!!! Ok, I guess I should poke her one last time and get going.

HOLY SHUT YO FACE, SHASTA!!!! REALLY???? 130???? (I retested; 127 the first time) UGH! AND I have to leave! She's about to CARB OUT!

Leaving her a large helping of 13% Friskies...which she is devouring right now. UGH! What a cruddy feeling...having to leave after a 100 point drop in half an hour. How is this possible? She ate a good portion of her breakfast, DID NOT get her shot last night (which should have drained most of her shed), and I kept it at .75 skinny!

I'm going to retest her in 5 minutes (+1.6)...would make me feel better if it were in the 200's!!!!!!! grr_red

Wow, that is quite a drop (understatement of the year). I'm glad she's eating! She will be fine.

Oh, and the Friskies...GONE! in under 5 minutes!!!! :lol: Come on then....WORK, YOU STUPID FRISKIES!

This baffles me!!!! +2=86?! I'm giving her more Friskies...which she's scarfing down like she's never eaten before.

I stalled as long as I could before leaving for work (40 minutes) and I tested her 2 more times after her +2, which would have made them like +2.05 and +2.12. She had dropped to 76 by +2.05,( :shock: <- my face) but finally started seeing the effects of the 2 helpings of Friskies by +2.12 = 99 ( :YMSIGH: <- my face).

Oh lordy! Someone is going to have to try explaining this one to me because I REALLY don't understand that drop...at all! Other then not getting her PM shot last night, nothing else changed...and I've given a few fur shots before, but I didn't see this one coming!

Hope everyone else has a wonderful day. I'm going to sit here and freak out on the inside nailbite_smile while trying to look cool, calm and collected on the outside. :-|

That stinks! It always happens when we have to be at tbp. Hope Shasta just surfs it for you. Did you leave out some MC? When you figure out the drop let me know. Maybe because she is a cat. ;-) Hang in there. Shasta will be fine and is probably sleeping right now. Have a great day!!

There's not a good explanation other that Shasta's a cat. It takes about 20 - 30 min. for the carbs to kick in. As long as you left plenty of food out, Shasta should be fine.

I just told my women's choir about Shasta's morning and they decided I needed to install a kitty cam so that we could check in on her during class!!! :lol: I laughed because I have thought about doing that a few times over the past month but I know that none of us would get anything done because we would just be watching my Shasta cat sleep and snore! :YMSIGH:

I have thought about asking my Principal if I could run home to check on her, but I'm just afraid he'll think I'm strange. :roll:

I hope I left out enough food for her. confused_cat

It's hard to do other things when you're worried.
Hopefully Shasta will just wait until the night cycle for her low bgs so you can have less sleep. ;-)
She'll be okay.

Maybe the principal would let you runaway on your lunch hour, no watch/lunchroom duty.

And bouncing like her name is Tigger! :-D I'll take it!!!!! I almost drove home during my planning period today, but I had to trust that she would be ok. Needless to say, I've had a hard time breathing all day. :sad:

Ok, she's eaten dinner; only left a little tiny bit (1 oz. 4% FF). She shall see! I have my wine glass ready for her +2! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Off to feed the horses. Be back soon.

Hi Deborah,

WOW, what an 'edge of the chair' day you and Shasta had, you poor kids!! I`m so glad everything is fine, and will be watching to see how it goes tonight.

Thank you so much for your visit to us yesterday! Reuben is feeling better with the meds today, and we are out of the red and black for the moment (and hopefully for EVER!). Your kind words and hug sent us nicely into sleep last night, you`re an angel!

Not sure it's been a "nice and easy" slide, but it's better than her plummet from this morning.

Liz - haven't gotten to checking other's condos yet, but sure hope Zener had a great day. Hope you had a good day at school, too!

Alexa - Glad to hear Reuben is doing better today! Hope he keeps up the good work...and you're doing a great job, too!!!!

For your info Deborah, Ive a view cam installed at home checking on my cats. I can access this cam when I am not home by my iphone through the internet. Yes, this canbe done.

When I'm the BIC (Bean-In-Charge), I get everything ready so that when I get his last test, I can get in bed right away. I feel like I have to be super disciplined at night. :roll: Shasta, get on that surfboard so yer bean can sleep.

You have just made my day!!!! :-D I need to have some of my tech buddies come over and set everything up for me. Unfortunately, they don't live in town... so it may be a really long time before this can happen.

and Liz, I try to be ready so that I can jump into bed right after her last shot...but then I start reading condos!!!! and 30 minutes later...45 minutes later... :lol: :lol: :lol: Glad to hear Zener had a good day! Wishing you guys a good night!
