8/23 Question on numbers and dose

Hello eveyrone. Hope more kitties are turning mid to hi green!

I have a question. Looking at Tableau's spreadsheet, it seems like everytime I increase the dose, he has really good numbers for a cycle or two (blue and yellow) and then then he returns to purples and reds. I'm wondering why he doesn't hold those better numbers and returns to the highs so quickly. confused_cat Is this a common pattern with Lantus? It seems like he should hold those lower numbers.

So it looks like I should increase his dose tonight to 1.75 (he's had 6 cycles at the 1.5).

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

The most likely answer is that you haven't yet hit on a "good" dose for Tableau. Once that happens, you'll start seeing better numbers more consistently.

The more remote possibility is that Tableau may be a high dose condition kitty. However, Tableau's dose would have to be appreciably higher (like 6.0u) before we'd want to give that alternative serious consideration.
 
it is an exercise in patience, isn't it? tableau will get there - hang in there. just keep following the protocol - it really does work. once you hit the right dose you'll know it!
 
Yes, I held his dose and his AM preshot actually went down today quite a bit, so I'm glad I held the dose. Will do so for another 2 cycles and then see where we are. Unfortunately, patience is not one of my virtues, but I'm learning!
