We woke up with an AMPS of 171. Numbers are going up and I keep hoping this is because of the slight dose increase. This is the 5th cycle with the increase. She spent days doing so well on the the 3.00 units. I'll give this a few more cycles as I know she often goes a little higher when I increase before coming down.
I finally got a picture of Morgaine with her paws crossed. Picture #3: paws crossed
I love the pic......Zoe sits like that....paws crossed looking like a perfect little lady. Not a bad start to the day for Morgaine.....maybe some greens later?
Yes, like a perfect little lady in sharp contrast to the picture before it where she is spread out in a very unladylike pose. Gotta love these kitties and their cuteness.
I am not sure. It is a bit difficult for me to get her to the vet and she gets so totally stressed that her BG goes sky high. I really do not want to do that to her. I am going to try to get a vet to come here and draw the blood but want to wait for a friend to return from her summer in CO. So, in a few weeks I will make arrangements. My friend is friends with a house call vet and I will need her help to hold Morgaine if I use him.
It is interesting that Morgaine had high triglycerides and several sebaceous hyperplasia growths on her skin. They are very common on older dogs and they were diagnosed by the the feline vet. They are full of a greasy substance and i wondered if the triglyceride issue contributed to those. Lately they have begun to dry up and fall away from her skin. She has had them for well over a year and they kept multiplying. Not anymore so i am wondering if the triglycerides are coming down as well. They are not supposed to be related but I think they are.
I do hope that Morgaine can return to the lower carb food she was eating because I think the 10% carb makes a difference in her numbers. She had been eating 2% Pro Plan Chicken and Liver Entree but the fat content was 55%. She may not ever be able to eat that again.
