I have no logical explanation for either one of those numbers. It's like my boys decided to reverse roles over night. Very happy with Mandarin though. Luckily, I don't have to go to work until +7 - so I have plenty of time to monitor Mandarin. ...but before that, I will take the pups on their daily walk. It's gorgeous out!

Well, maybe it was just a bad strip this morning - Mandarin's +2 is back to yellow.

I'm about to take Capone to the vet to get his kidney values rechecked... really hoping that his BW will be better now that he has had a dental. Otherwise, I will have to start thinking about switching their food.

Thank you!! I have no clue what I would do if I had to switch... with the number of cats I currently have, there's just no way that I can afford to put everyone on low carb and low phosphorus food.

Think adding a binder to Capones food like @Amy&TrixieCat does might be an option. The low phosphorus food that I see most used is Wellness Turkey which has carrageen and in my opinion is an ingredient to avoid.

Thank you for all of those vetty vines! Capone got a clean bill of health and all of his kidney values are back to normal.

Creatinine is down to 1.5 from 2.5 (0.8-1.8 is normal)
BUN is 24 (15-32 is normal)
Phosphorus is 4.6 (2.6-6.0 is normal)

His urinalysis looked great and his blood pressure was perfectly normal. HUGE sigh of relief here!

Capone got a clean bill of health and all of his kidney values are back to normal.

Oh sooo happy!! Good news is really needed around here and hope this is the start of that trend.

Great news for Capone! As Karen mentioned, I do use a binder for Trix because she won't eat any of the LC/Low Phos options out there and the binder does work well - but fortunately you don't have to go down that road !
