110 +32)Yeah, Johnny! So proud of him and Mr. Pancreas. I hope they keep working on this dance and close in on this wide range.

We're shooting numbers above 150, but we didn't last night because the 154 was at 10pm. We knew if we shot, we were looking at a major drop around 1-2 a.m. with lots of rinse, lather, repeat to follow. Just couldn't do it. And hopefully that was a good thing, because Mr. Pancreas decided to get a little workout today.

So this is for sure some Johnny be good!

Well done, big guy!

Re: 8/23 Johnny AM 147 (+25) 61 (+28) 158 (+31)

Checked in three hours later, fully expecting to catch a glimpse of Johnny on his surf board, and he was 158. What the heck?

Brian's going to check him again in an hour and if he's still up there, he'll shoot a drop. I feel like I have whiplash from the excitement of the 61 to this, lol!

Re: 8/23 Johnny AM 147 @ +25; (61 @ +28) (158 @ +31) (110 @ +32)

147 +25
61 +28
158 +31
110 @ +32

Okay, now another drop. Are we right in thinking this is Johnny's pancreas kind of sputtering?

you DO know that you're gonna drive yourself bonkers testing so often and trying to make sense of the numbers, right?
Maybe he's trying to do this:

That looks about right, MJ! I won't be printing that off for Johnny.

I know we are on a "give a drop when needed" schedule, but how do we know if it's needed unless we test? :dizcat

Since it's not an OTJ trial where you are only supposed to test twice a day, I thought we should still be testing a lot. I guess we are somewhere in the middle!

Re: 8/23 Johnny AM 147 @ +25; (61 @ +28) (158 @ +31) (110 @ +32)

112 at +37. Are we testing too often? And I know the plan was 150, but should we have shot that 158 today? We decided to give it an hour to see where he went, since he wasn't being too predictable.

way to go, Johnny!

I don't think you're testing too often, as you said, you're trying to find 150's to shoot. Unfortunately that means a game of hide-and-seek. You could have shot the 158 today, but let's see what happens. Maybe it will turn out to be a happy accident.

Thanks for chiming in, Libby! To be clear, even though Johnny was 110 an hour later, we could have safely shot the 158? If yes, just lots of lather, rinse and repeat, I suspect. Does the fact that it ended up that he was already planning to head down affect the thought? Or would we just have intercepted Mr. Pancreas with releasing his insulin? Man, I use a lot of question marks. You guys are so good to me!

welllllll, if you had shot then he might have landed in green instead of blue. You can feed after shooting to head off the steep drops, you're already getting good at that. We'll see, though, Johnny is writing his own rules so we'll just follow him and see where he takes us.
