Hi All!

My PC broke again (Gobnait knocked it off of my night stand) and I can't access googledocs on my work PC so there are no changes to my spreadsheet but I have been testing Gobnait since I stopped shooting her August 4. She is always in 70s and 80s. I am keeping her on her low carb diet and though she's getting fat (will have to cut back) she is doing great. Lots of energy, nice shiny smooth coat, neuropathy looks way better - almost gone. I can barely believe it.

I have to thank everyone here for teaching me not to feed her dry food and to keep the spreadsheet and watch the numbers.

I feel so lucky and only hope that some of the other kitties here can have such good fortune.

I also hope I'm not jinxing it even by posting this but doubt somehow that my computer keyboard has any real influence on my cat's pancreas.

It's just so amazing to me and though I feel tempted to think "well she was just never diabetic in the first place", she DID have very clear neuropathy, the terrible coat, had some urination in the house issues (just some pee smells here and there that are no longer cropping up) and she was so lethargic.

I've been telling all of my cat friends to get their cats off the high carb foods stat! I can't believe that it was just that that fixed her.

Thanks again everyone and best of luck to you all with all your good good kitties.

:o oh my god, please remove the rainbow from your post. I nearly had a heart attack. We only use that when a cat has gone to the Bridge...

So happy for you that Gobnait is doing well.

Congrats on great numbers.

(You might not want to use the rainbow icon. It's typically used with cats who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge -- i.e., are GA.)

Yes the rainbow scared me until I see that you are just updating us but you might want to take it down since like Sienne said makes us think of cats( GA )anyway so very happy for you and Gobnait that things are doing so well :YMHUG: cat_pet_icon

hi - true on the rainbow - I nearly cried...

It is wonderful that Gobnait is doing well - fantastic news. Amazing isn't it - the difference that a proper diet makes? It is just great to read that she is her old normal self, and that the neuropathy is almost gone. YAY!!

Kep up the good work Gobnait! congrats to you, and your bean!

:-D got everyone's attention!

glad gobnait's doing so well! i've been trying to convince friends to get their cats off of dry food too - it's a tough sell. i admit that i hated canned food before. hate the smell, hate the cans, hate the dishes . . . dry food has everything going for it except for being good for our kitters. i've wondered how long my other cats would've lived if i'd given them canned food instead.

thanks for popping in to update us! i'd wondered how you and gobnait were doing - it's good to hear good news!

Hi guys .. this is such a wonderful report on gobnait! So glad to hear the neuropathy is nearly gone .. amazing isn't it? Thanks for the update!
