Good old FCC gave me a 95 this evening.

I know I don't need to test, but I couldn't help it because I was less strict with food removal and I wanted to make sure me being lax didn't hurt his numbers today. He still has the same feeding schedule, but if there was some left in the bowl I didn't take it away during certain hours like I was doing before. I probably shouldn't do that given that the fine tuning of his diet over the past several weeks is likely a large part of his success.

I also wanted to know how Mister Feisty Pants was going to react to the evil poke.

I see you've gotten addicted to living dangerously!

I don't think you need to worry about taking away his food 2 hours before. Just feed LC and small meals through the day and night.

It's cheaper than skydiving. Sort of..

That's good to know, thank you. It feels like unchartered waters.

I hope you are and all kitties are well!

No need to pull his food at all. I see you have become addicted to testing and living dangerously.

Thank you both for the information. I appreciate it and so does FCC since he gets to keep a bit of food to poke his nose into.

I wonder if the longer gaps between testing will make it so he becomes even more adverse to the process. It will be interesting. My new adventure is attempted teeth brushing. No one seems interested in learning that routine.

Hmmmm......looks like you don't much care for your fingers....fascinating! ;)

This is a good point. First I tried with one of those finger things on both cats. Surprisingly they wouldn't open their mouths. So I just stuck it on my finger hoping they would like the taste and it could be baby steps. Seems unlikely.

I’m chicken to attempt tooth brushing.

On one hand I figure, especially with my old civvie, that she's gone 16 years without a toothbrush, but on the other hand I'm terrified of dental surgery and also how much it will affect FCC if something in his mouth goes awry.

It is chicken flavoured toothpaste which is possibly one of the most disgusting things I've come across.
