Hi Friends,

Kind of frustrated with Tiff's health. The BGs are looking so much better, but we have had trips back and forth to the vet for a UTI and now it looks like a URI. Tried Clavmox, which makes her vomit then a shot of Covenia a week ago. My vet says she may need another antibiotic. I have been steaming with her to try and clear her out for the past few days but it does not seem to be working. (She is miserable trying to clear her head and breathing through her mouth.)

Any advice before I head off to the vet again today? What other antibiotic is a good one for this? (I thought Covenia would knock it out...and I also heard from here that you can not do another antibiotic for 14 days avter a Covenia shot...)

I hope Tiffany is feeling better, what did the vet recommend. Marvin reacted well to his antibiotic shots, so I don't have any recommendation. Sending healing vines to Tiffany:bighug::bighug::bighug:

Awe...I am touched that you noticed! Thank you.

Tiffany and I have had a hard week. She was back at the vet yesterday. The vet did a chest x-ray to make sure that she was not having heart failure and prescribed another antibiotic after ruling that out. She has had what appears to be a URI since Friday and has been having a hard time breathing. Steaming the bathroom has saved her many times this week. Long story short, she appears to be feeling better tonight. Through this all, her BG numbers have mostly in the blues.

Thank you, Nat. She has had a hard week but seems to be feeling a little better tonight. She is on another antibiotic and antihistamines. I have been to the vet four times in the past 10 days....my office thinks I am crazy.

Glad to read she is doing better! No one here thinks you are crazy. My Yum has been in for checkups 4 times in the last 10 days too. :)
