This morning Teal'c got sick at +11 oddly right at an hour before his shot. Decided to test him, he was 114 so that seemed ok. Then at Amps test it was 117 but when I put down his food he just sat there and looked at it, didn't even try to eat. So I broke out some Fancy Feast tuna in gravy grilled MC figured better to eat something and get his shot. Only put down 1/2 a can (3oz can), he was meowing for it. He did start eating it so I gave his shot and went back to the kitchen to clean up my morning mess. When I turned around he was laying by back door and Shefoo had her head in the bowl with the MC food, so now i don't even know how much of it he ate. Could have eating it all and she was just cleaning the gravy leavings or only a few bites and she ate the rest.

Concerned about him right now. Vet is only open till noon. Wondering if I should have him checked out or just keep an eye on him.

These situations always happen on weekends or when the vet is away. How’s it going now? What did you decide to do?:bighug:

He threw up again. Turned his nose up to treats. But did eat a bit more MC food. Yes why on the weekend. I forgot to check BG till just a bit ago. I'm not sure what to do since I can get him to eat what he wants.

Called the on call Vet she said since his numbers are in a normal range she didn't believe he was in any destress. She said something as simple as hairballs can cause upset. She felt that right now as long as he was keeping liquids down that waiting to see if this passes was best. She did say that if he gets worse and can't keep anything down or starts acting differently to call her. He has kept down the last food I fed him, drank some water. She thinks I should half his dose but I will make that decision at pmps based on how he eats.

69 @pmps eating some MC food going to give shot since he ate hasn't gotten sick in awhile. Hope this is right choice. Nothing like feeling like you are living on the edge.

I'm glad he seems to be feeling a little better now...yep, those hairballs can do that...poor baby...

Obviously your vet doesn't understand depot insulins...so glad you disregarded that advice...

I agree with you to keep an eye on him...he'll have a couple of hours after the insulin to nibble on a little something...

Take care and enjoy your evening! Give him some scritches from us - tell him Auntie Sue says 'feel better'..:bighug::bighug::bighug: Luci will send some lemon tea...:cat:
