Day 6

Good morning every one! Looking good this am although we slept in a bit o_O. Unfortunately Simon threw up this morning which can sometimes precede an acute flair of his IBD. So fingers crossed the day goes smoothly! At least his BG is doing well :D. Have a good day :cat::cat:

:bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: Are you giving both cerenia and ondansetron? :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
Yes I have been giving both, although I dialed it back a bit in the past few days as his nausea seemed so much better, he was eating, etc. I am worried this may be a result of 6 days without chlorambucil. I was going to delay giving him the first pulsed dose until I could see the new vet and get him on budesonide instead. Unfortunately things can get really bad really fast with him so I may just go ahead with the pulsed dose today :(.

It takes awhile I think for chlorambucil to work so my guess is that it might be the lack of a steroid. You might want to ask the other group and say you are waiting for your IM visit? Of course that means dealing with J. Hard to say. :bighug:

Yes I think ultimately it is the lack of steroid at work here. My appt is Wednesday, so I think I am going to give him the pulsed dose, bump up all the other meds to address his IBD symptoms, and fingers crossed we leave our appt Weds. w/ budesonide in hand. I still have prednisolone I can give him in a pinch. The idea of being berated by J. just doesn't appeal to me right now. She will prob just tell me to post my US report!?!

Just an FYI, I needed to get an Rx of prednisolone for my IBD kitty. Apparently, there's a back up. I ended up with a liquid version.
Yes, I think there is a huge supply problem for vet meds right now! When we took pred it was in the liquid form and seemed to work well. I still have a huge bottle of it! It was actually easier to adjust the dose that way. Best of luck to you w/ your IBD kitty!! :cat:

PMBG 89! No IBD flare today, so a good day overall :D Plus I found this baby photo :cat:
