Morning! Maggie is starting out on a nice blue. She must have run low last night as she finished all the overnight food. She had two mini breffifs, brushing and no play time yet. I did find the mouse pole toy in a different place in the living room, so she had it in her mouth dragging it near the patio. When I first rescued Maggie, she had this strange habit of gathering a few of those furry mice and a tiny stuffed bear and placing in a neat pile on the floor, crying/talking the whole time, and in the middle of the night. This went on for a long time. Finally I had an opportunity to ask an animal behaviorist about it, and he said it was her act of bringing food to her babies. Sadly, she had lost a litter of babies to a wild animals before some tenants could rescue them. She grieved a long time. Just a little history on my baby. Maggie's taking her umpteenth nap on the recliner. Hope everyone has a nice Monday.

Good Morning Ann & Maggie,
That is a moving story about Maggie grieving for her babies. Fascinating how old traumatic experiences linger in the background and affect current behavior. Maggie is a very lucky girl to have been rescued by you.

Very nice AMPS, Maggie. Enjoy your nap and have a fine day.

That almost made me cry. What a sweet girl she is and she is so lucky to have found you.

Hope you have a wonderful day!

Nice and slow drop!

Thanks Rusty and Melissa, she has been having some nice blues lately. I didn't know either, Ella, that old traumatic experiences linger and affect their current behavior in such a way. She still has the little stuffed teddy bear toy and drags it out from the little toy box once in a while. I had to tell my petsitter last year to leave it wherever she places it, lol. I hope she surfs nice blues today. she will probably start a slow rise.

PMPS 112

Hi Devon, how sweet. You can fly out here any time and come for a visit. We'd love to have you. I also hate to fly.

Hi Karrie, two hugs coming up for Maggie from you and Devon. It is both sad and sweet. After my GA kitty crossed the Bridge, I wonder now maybe I should have adopted a kitten for her.

Thanks Roni, for the sweet sentiments. She's doing great today with the blue cycle. This 112 is a surprise.
I've been mixing FF Chicken Feast in with the FF Seafood.

Hi Ann - wow that is really interesting on Maggie and the toys... I believe it thought, that they can carry traumatic events for a long time. What a wonderful mom she would have been. How touching! Maggie you are awesome!

And nice numbers today for her too. I really like that pmps. She sure has had steady numbers today. Be good Maggie, and don't go too low tonight. :-D

Re: 8/22 Maggie AMPS 136; PMPS 112; +2 123 ATrak

+2 123
- not too much difference than the 112, and she did have some fuds, so little spike!

Hi Michelle, thanks as she has kept the steady numbers. I did a poke at +2, which I normally don't do since she slides slowly, but the 112 is low for Mags. She was hungry, so she had two small meals after the shot! I think, too, that pets can carry the trauma for a long time.
