Morning all,
I'm rather bummed about it, but I have increased Lou to 2.75u this morning per Wendy and Bobbie's advice yesterday. It hadn't occurred to me that an increase might be in order, since I think I was still focusing on the 47 from the 18th. But once mentioned, I realized I've now gone 5 cycles without seeing a green. Thank goodness for another pair of eyes noticing things I don't! I find I'm actually more bummed about being off the lines for dosing, haha. These U100 syringes are just awful like that, so much closer together than the U40s. I really need to establish my measurements with my calipers and hopefully that will make things so much easier. So here's hoping for good things with this dosecrease!

In other news, we had asked the seller of our house to service the furnace since she hadn't in 10 years. Come to find out the heat exchanger is cracked. While you could replace that piece, it's more cost effective to just buy a new furnace. The seller has offered to pay half. We did some research (ie, our realtor conferred with her son who installs furnaces that this piece can crack due to age and not neglect). So while it sucks to put more money into a house we haven't even moved into, we'll save money by having the seller help out. And we get to enjoy a new furnace, haha. Our appraisal came in higher than our purchase price, so that's also exciting news. Basically everything is a go and we're just waiting to close on the 12th!! I cannot wait!!

I hope you all have a wonderful day and your kitties surf safely!!

Good luck with the dosecrease. Sorry you have to spend money on the furnace, but good the seller is paying half.

Good luck with the increase.
Doesn’t it make you wonder how the furnace worked properly before?????
Did your inspection find that?

Good luck with the dose increase. Those second set of eyes are really needed sometimes, we get so buried into the trees we don't see the forest anymore.

At least she is willing to pay for half! We moved into our house in July. Come fall, first thing that went was the motor on the furnance...totally sucked.

It worked, but it could only get to 90 degrees F or so. So he noted it wasn't working quite to it's full potential. We requested that she have the furnace serviced after the inspection and the HVAC guy found the crack. She offered to pay half before we were notified by our realtor.

One of my biggest fears with buying a house! Now we're moving into a place with new shingles and a water heater from last year, and a new furnace this year. At least this is one less thing to worry about! :D
