Today started out with such high hopes...the lowest PS number we've had since Champ recovered from his stomach bug. Then in the space of two hours, BAM!!! up over 100 points. Don't know why because he didn't eat anything except his normal 0.5 oz of 4% FF at +2. His neck is still itchy, but the bumps/hives are definitely scabbing over. They were never actually open sores, but Champ probably licked at them to scratch them and exfoliated the top layer of skin off and caused the scabbing. You can't even see most of the "scabs," you can just feel them. My DD stopped and picked up some witch hazel for me since I never left the house yesterday to get some. I rubbed some of that over Champ's neck and he really seemed to like it. I don't know if it was because it was cooling and thereby made the itching ease up or what, but he actually sat there and let me apply it. I hope they hurry up and go away or I'll be forced to use the spray the vet gave me and I really don't want to use a corticosteroid antibiotic spray for dogs on my diabetic cat!!! I've been assured it's safe to use, but we've all heard that before and heard of some disastrous results. We do not want to be a statistic!!
Here it is almost 4:00 in the afternoon and I've been working since 4:00 this morning. I still have hours of work in front of me that I promised I would get done. Plus my daughter and her friends want to take me out for a belated birthday sushi dinner...who am I to refuse them the pleasure of treating me to dinner?!!! If I get to condos, it will be later this evening, after most of my east coast friends have probably hit the hay, and some of my west coast friends, too!! I'll still leave messages, though, so you all know I'm thinking of you all!!!
