8/22 Biggie AMPS 187, +1 199

[Jackie and Biggie]

Hi, Biggie is on day 5 of receiving insulin, .5U bid.
Yesterday was the first day he dropped consistently into the 200s.
I was anxious about giving insulin this morning but thought If not close to 100 I should give. After reading more guidance on SLGS, I realize it may not have been a good idea to give his dose this morning. I am going to be checking his numbers often and have maple syrup and HC wet food.

Should I have not fed and taken a reading later? Skipped his dose and waited for evening?
How worried should I be?

thank you- according to some of the material looks like without knowing his patterns so well maybe I should have skipped.
His +2 was 180. I’m feeding him some gravy 11% carb food now.

You don’t want gravy with a 199 bg. It was close enough to shoot. Go to lc next feeding. Those numbers are within 20% meter variance and so flat. Save the gravy for under 100 or a big drop.
