Happy Good Morning LL Friends!

The .25u increase last night was just the ticket; he came down to lavender (purple?) 300's by +2 last night and hasn`t left!! Look at the pretty pre-shot!! :RAHCAT What a RELIEF!!! I stayed up until 2.30 testing and need lot`s of ~O) ~O) now, but gosh it is going to taste so good!!

So much help came to our condo last night, thank you to Everyone for helping us :YMHUG:

I had given up drinking coffee for about 15 years..."had" to start again about 4 months after Trix's diagnosis. In fact, one of the things on my to-do list today is replenish my supply...would NOT want to run out.

But, they are worth it...no doubt.

Hi guys .. so happy to see the new juice worked out well for reuben! As far as sleeping all night goes, you'll soon learn to take power cat naps whenever you can :lol: have a great day guys!

Hi Alexa, Great AMPS for Reuben this morning! So nice to see him in the pink (purple?) and hope he enjoys a smooth ride with his new dose.

Hi Devon - Isn`t it amazing what the right medicine dose can do? Wow! I like that - 'power cat naps' -- I`m totally putting that in the tool box, along with the coffee and chocolate! Thanks for the visit, you guys have a great day too :razz:

Hi Leslie, Yeah I hope this stays nice and steady. Is Jasper starting his trial today? I`m coming to your condo right now to see what`s going on!

That's probably just a food spike (albeit a pretty big one), or new dose wonkiness. Still a great start for Reuban with that AMPS!!!

Alexa,

It's going to be okay. Just test for ketones religiously. It's normal for him to spike up like this after what, for his body, is a very low number. Not all cats do it, but some do, and it means his liver is working properly. As long as you catch a ketone reading and take action if it happens, everything is going to be all right.

Enjoy your day. You are making progress!!!!

Thank you Soo much for checking in and shedding light on our magic mountain ride :razz: Very glad to know that his reaction is an indication of healthy liver function!! We'll keep up on the ketone readings and keep our eye on the goal.

Hi Alexa,

I forgot to ask you what percent carbs is the food he's eating? You could help him stay lower with a low carb like a 2% food if he'll eat them. Racci's favorite is BG (Before Grain by Merrick) 2% carbs. They have several flavors.

Were you able to get the Bupe today? Did Reuben get it yet and if so diid it help? How is he feeling?

BTW, I replied to your last post on today's condo instead of yesterday's. I hope you don't mind. I figured I better consolidate into one already. :lol:

Hi Melanie,

I make his food for him, Dr Lisa Pierson's recipe - only cooked. It`s just chicken and bones ground with a grinder, plus vitamins. And tuna as the testing treat, so I don`t think he`s getting much carbs.

I`m still working on the bupe, my vet wasn`t in and I couldn`t find another to write the prescription. Hopefully it will work out tomorrow. I did get the Frontline plus though. It`ll be on him in a few minutes, thank goodness!

Don't fret. Just have to give it time to play out.
Gotta step back and look at the big picture a few days from now. :YMHUG:

I wouldn't be surprised if his numbers come down when the fleas are gone and the pain meds are on board. That discomfort is stressful and makes him higher. He'll settle in though. One thing at a time.

Know how difficult it is to wear the patience pants watching your kitty reporting those HI. Trust our experience, these ugly figures will move away. It is because you are testing that you see these figures, they have been with reuben for some time & you are helping Reuben to get better soon. Hang in there.
