Whoa did we not have a fun night last night. Napoleon dropped to 42 and started having mild hypo symptoms. This has never happened before with him. He has been 38,40,42 before. It was pretty scary especially because it was so late and our 24 hour emergency vet is over 30 minutes away. Got him through with lc,hc and gravy. He seems better today just very tired. I assume that is to be expected. Needless to say I dropped his dose back down, to 2.75 skinny from the 3 skinny that produced last night's episode.

This is honestly one of the most challenging things I have dealt with in my life, not the most challenging, but one of them. I hope one day he will be regulated, that this up and down will cease. Just taking this one day at a time, I guess that is all you can do. I am just glad he made it through last night ok ;-)

GREAT job last night....whew....hope Napoleon will rest up today.
You really kept calm last night and did all the right things.....take it slow today! :YMHUG:
(Napoleon, a blue would have been just fine yesterday...you didn't have to go straight to low green...sigh!!!)

You had a very exciting night! Now you're seeing that bounce, but it looks like its starting to clear. I hope you can take a nap today to make up for your sleepless night. :mrgreen:

wow you had quite the scary night, sorry I wasn't around to hand out support. I went through a hypo incident with my Tray before we found this board and it was the most frightening thing to watch. I am SO happy you and Napoleon got through it.
Hope Napoleon rests up and gets back on track.

Wow, Angela. That must have been terrifying. It was a comfort to me to know that I could come here for help, but if you were all alone getting through that it is much harder.
