8/20 Zener AMPS 356;+3 386;PMPS 329;+2.5 321 BD week

Yesterday

Last night was drama free! I got prednisolone tablets from the vet and Zener took his pred with no problem. Woohoo! Appy was good, too. :-D :-D He is straining a bit with his poo so I upped the miralax a bit this morning. I'm trying not to overdo that one.

From yesterday's condo:
We are celebrating Zener's birthday this week! :-D :-D We don't know exactly what day he was born, as he was a rescue. We brought him home at the end of September and he still had blue eyes. We have always said that his birthday is Aug 26 since I was born on June 26 and Tillie was born on April 26. So just to cover all of our bases, we are celebrating all week! The culmination will be when Anne gets home on the 26th.

And now that is 6 more darks (4 paddy paws and 2 ears). :-D :-D Kitties still think that's a lot.

OT: I heard Tillie sneeze once this morning. Hmm.

Thinking of ailing kitties and beans and grieving beans too, Lyresa and DH on the passing of KT, Amy's DF (starting chemo today), and anyone else in need. Happy Wednesday, LL!

Continued BirthWeek wishes for the BirthWeek Boy!!! So great that you got the pred tablet and it helped is appy. I know you don't want to overdo the miralax, but I remember my vetty saying a little too much is better than a little too little...just something to keep in mind!

Thanks for continuing to hold my Dad in your prayers. He actually probably won't start chemo until next week. He got the port yesterday and meets with the infusion nurse to learn about the process on Friday. But any and all extra prayers are beyond appreciated!!!

I'm glad you got the pill down him without a fight. Yay for a good appy. I hope the sneeze with Tillie was just a one time thing.

I think Tillie (and all of us) should be permitted an occasional sneeze!
Great news on the pill-taking. Good boy, Zener!

Have a fine evening. Nice that you got some rain, but not a deluge. All of these weird weather "events" are indications of climate change/global warming.

The prednisolone is working amazingly well! (anti-jinx) He's eaten 4 oz by +2.5 and probably would have eaten more. And he ate 5 oz this morning. :-D :-D :-D He's been getting 2.5 mg BID since Sunday night. I'm debating whether to start cutting out the morning dose tomorrow or wait until Friday. He's just a bit frantic for food, maybe a little too frantic. Then again, we've never had cats that were frantic for food so maybe I'm overreacting. :lol: I have meetings tomorrow but will come home at +6 to check on him. I'll be gone about 3 hours in the am and 3 hours in the afternoon, so not terribly long. I just want to make sure he eats enough.

Yeah for the success of the pills!

I know when I've had to give China a crumb of cypro, about 30 minutes later she's scouring the house for a loose water buffalo to take down ...Man that stuff works great on her! :lol:

When Skooter was on pred, he was a bit of a oinker himself....not so much with the new medication.....I am glad the pills are work for him! Usually Skooter and I ended up not speaking to each other for a few hours after each ordeal of stuffing a pill down his throat.

Continued birfday wishes to Z and so happy to hear down to 6 darks!!!!!

Great appy is the best birthday present ever. I think I know what you mean about being frantic for food. Lock up the FD quails necks. ;-)
 
Wonderful to hear Zener has rediscovered his love for fuds! :-D :-D I have two kitties on Pred, and neither is really a chow hound. It must be like most things, ECID. In your case, I'm glad it improved the appy.

Not to make you worry, but kitty sneezes are like cockroaches - for every one you hear, there are probably three or four more that you didn't. I hope Tillie just stirred up some dust or caught some stray pollen, but sending anti-sneezing vines, just in case.

So, Z-man, in honor of your birthweek, I'd like to send you some safe sliding vines. Now, MamaLizbean is gonna be gone for a while tomorrow, so you need to be careful, but let's see some sunny yellows and maybe some clear blues for you on Fursday, okay? Cool. :cool:
