Re: 8/20 Shadow AMPS 82 +2~103 +3~108 +5~111
Thanks all.
I fear I have some issue about to pop it's ugly head.
I wonder if a cat's mood influences their numbers.
Shadow started acting a wee different yesterday.
I have a puzzle on my hands and haven't figured it out. She started not eating her food, getting very picky yesterday but she did eat it.
This morning we tested, I gave her her food ( ff turkey and giblets with 2 shrimp cut up in it) and gave it to her while I gave her
the shot. She ate the shrimp but left the food.
That made me nervous. I followed her all over with the food trying to get her to eat it. I usually have to give her more food just 2 hours after. (second breakfast)
She's begged for second breakfast and I offered her something and she didn't want that. I've opened 5 different cans and she's
turned her nose up at all of them.
I finally ran to the store and bought some more tiki cat chicken with egg and she ate a bit. I took her dish back to the kitchen
where I put a little of the juice from her shrimp container ( water where they defrosted in a glass container) on her chicken and egg
tiki cat.
So I locked her in my room, she had gone and found a place to nap and left her with the food while i ate my lunch.
Success..... she ate it. I tested her an just got the +5 of 111.
It's just that she normally surfs in the 80s and 70's and suddenly we've moved up to the 100's.
I felt inside her mouth to see if she had a tender area. No reaction.
I don't want her to become so dependent on the shrimp or juice that she won't eat anything else. I'm sure she'd get that way if
I would let her.
She's definitely copping an attitude about being tested. Suddenly she's ready to rebel again. I had quashed it down from the one
time.
Her personality is such that all this prodding really puts her out.
I believe that IF we had to do this forevermore, she would just give up. She would stop eating and curl up and hold out.
It's not worth it to her and that's why I am so determined to get her to remission.
I know how important the eating is, especially while getting shots.
I hope this is just a passing thing but if it's not, I could be in for some difficulties.
