What a nice day yesterday for Mannie - two back to back green cycles. :cool: :-D :-D I did experiment with the chicken snack, just to verify that it really had no effect on Mannie's BG, and it didn't. We had some pink things going on a few days ago that coincided with this snack. It seems now in reviewing this all that those days were just Mannie being Mannie. We hope for a nice cycle today - we start out yellow, I wonder if this will be a repeat of yesterday, or has he decided on a resting day... Love ya big guy - you do make life fun! cat_pet_icon

All is well in MannieLand... :-D Though.... the kitty choir was absent this morning - even BJ! :o :shock: :shock: and no whacking! :o :shock: what is up with that????? Good thing I got up on my own. sheshhhh.... no kitty choir! I found all three of them at the top of the stairs... waiting... with that "where you been?" look. They proceeded to go and wait in the kitchen, patiently... all lined up in a row.. weird, so weird.... :roll: We had a good test feed shoot this morning - lots of purrs and head rubs. Breffis was consumed with gusto, clean plate club status remains intact. GO MANNIE! This was funny: Mannie has discovered DGS fuds, especially the turkey. That he can smell it the moment I open the jar. That little nose is twitching ever so fast. DGS was in the middle of lunch when out of the blue Mannie hops up on the table, zooms in on the turkey, and helps himself. :lol: :lol: The bean could not react fast enough... So DGS got a new bowl, Mannie got to lick the old bowl, and all were happy. :lol: :lol: :lol: :cool: WOW, not only do they share the nanners, now they share the fuds... Buddies for life.

Have a great day everyone! I am off shortly to go , after I get one more test in for Mannie. Not that I love the mid yellows, but it is a hiking number. We will do one more to be sure. DH will be home to fed the rest of the mini meals, and watch the boy. So Mannie.... permission slip given? have a great day everyone! :-D

Kitties!!!! oh boy - I am so full of pizza.... what a great day yesterday! I think we had every kind of pizza possible - so good! What you guys wanna do today? maybe some kitty hiking or sumthin'? Too funny about the turkey baby food! Mannie is taking over supervising Nicholas's lunch, showing him how to become a member of the Clean Plate Club!

Back to back green cycles....love those! LOL on the turkey baby fuds.....absolutely too funny....at least they are sharing, nanners and fuds!! Looks like Mannie is giving you permission to enjoy your hike.....have a great day.

I like Blackies idea of hanging at your place and playing games....then we could come back here or to Gracies pool for some nightime swimming under the stars. ~Zoe

Morning Michelle, so glad Mannie baby gave you a permission slip to go hiking. What kind of chicken snack are you feeding Maggie. I got into the habit of giving Maggie a teeny bit of Gerber Stage 2 Chicken bf after her pokes. I probably shouldn't do it too often as it does have corn starch in it. She loves it and gives me "the look" if I forget. Beechnut has a better one, but not as tasty! Enjoy your hike and looking forward to pictures. I wonder what's up with the no kitty choir and no whacking! Mannie is surfing a nice blue today special for you to take that hike and enjoy yourself.

Hey Mannie, I also like Blackie's idea of chillin at your place. Blackie's bringing some Catnip Margaritas. then we can g back to Zoe's or Gracie's for a pool party. See ya soon, Maggie

Michelle, I've missed a few of your posts lately but am happy to hear that Mannie and your DGS are getting along famously, although for Mannie it sounds like it is just because of the food thing. Baby = yum yum's. Love to hear about the back to back greens and at least Mannie is giving you permission today to relax and have a nice hike. Have fun!

Thanks everyone for visiting Mannie while I went and played today. I went to a mountain lake just west of Snoqualmie Pass - YAY! I logged 9.4 miles (phew!), and climbed 1800 feet (Sweet (LOL: more like sweat), and phew!) The lake was gorgeous - so clear! There must have been lots of fish in that lake - so many were jumping, breaking the waters surface. That was fun! And the bugs! ugh - way too many small flies... annoying small flies... :lol: :lol: I am glad I went early - as I was hiking out so many people were hiking in - :shock: :roll: Looks like I was lucky enough to miss the crowds... :cool:

Hi Ella - That was a good laugh yesterday with Mannie and the turkey baby food - he was so fast! Some supervisor - he just ate the food! :lol: :lol: I can just see the scene five years down the road: Mannie: "I'll trade you this for that, deal?" Weather was great for the hike: clear skies, sunny and warm. It's 77 here, not too sure on the mountains, prediction was a high of 65. I think it made it. Just gorgeous up there!

Hi Angela - Thanks - things have been better. Today has been off, darn yellows, slight pink at +10. He always spikes there -drives me nuts! :lol:

Hi Sherry - I loved yesterday - perfect! now today?... ugh, partly expected, but I had so hoped he'd just bump up to one of his blue surfs... no such luck! oh well, I hope he comes down tonight. and yes - that food thing was a riot - i haven't seen Mannie move that fast in a long time - never let go a window of opportunity, per the Manster!

Hi Ann - me too on the permission slip - I wish I didn't come home to a 303, but I'll attribute that to his normal spike, and think he was mellow yellow for today, and maybe then we will have a good evening cycle. paws crossed! On the chicken snack - It's cooked chicken breast. He loves the stuff, and it has been a "treat" for him for as long as we have had him. I know too on the BF: that he also likes, Just not something I have ever pursued, as having cooked chicken is easy enough... too funny on the look from Maggie. Mannie just goes and waits by the frig if he thinks I have forgotten him. :lol: :lol: and affirmative on the photos - I should have them upload off of the camera later tonight, so will post some tomorrow in Mannie's condo. --- and go figure on the no kitty choir!!! omg!

Hi Tracy - YEP - yesterday was nice - sheshhhh I wish he'd go there every day. Every now and then he has an off day - like today.... bummer! Yep - on the DGS and the fuds thing - it was funny. Nicholas didn't mind that Mannie got the rest of his turkey... He was after the sweet potatoes and gladly gave up the turkey. :lol: :lol: I so agree: best buds for life!

Hi Georgia - I hope all is well with you. I looked for Simon's condo yesterday - missed it In guess.... Or have you been away? And yes - those two are getting along great. I am so glad - Mannie really is a very social kitty, but babies was a first for him. I loved the back to back greens yesterday - so nice... it was nice too that Mannie gave me permission today, as the weather was perfect for hiking. YAY!!!

p.s. Glad the hike was good despite the August flies (that's what we call them here; they are awful when you get a batch of them in your canoe and can't reach them but they get your ankles). The lake sounds lovely.
