Good Morning LL
(LOTS! L just love
), and Happy TUNA Tuesday!
LL! It's is I, Elsa, Lil Bit, kitteh barista!, president and CEO of Coffee Cat! Life is GOOD! GUESS WHAT! Today is TUNA TUESDAY!!! Once again Lola and Bug want to make their famous triple tuna pies, with tuna and nip infused crust, tuna toppings, and now triple tuna infused cheese. YUMMMMMMMM! these pizza pies totally rock! The tuna cheese is a still a little weird, even with the added tuna and nip, but I have to admit that they are pretty good! And once again this week please don't ask for a tuna mocha....they is just gross and we will leave the tuna in them tuna pies.
so. well. anyways.
Coffee time! For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and triple shot espresso, beans from the heart of central Ethiopia. and for my mocha fans: Venti Quad orange and vanilla mocha, laced with orange swirls, topped with chocolate whip, garnished with orange zest, slivered vanilla beans and chocolate swirls....SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of orange and vanilla and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized oranges and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride!
I hope everyone had a great Monday. Mine was great - another hike. YAY! I'm trying to get in a many as I can before I am involved with caring for William in addition to Nicholas. September will be nuts, and I'm not too sure how any days I will be able to be out on the trails. Besides... our weather has been so great, well the afternoons have, that one just has to be out in it. LOL on the weather comment.  Great here, a different story up north in the North Cascades, especially on MT Baker.... FOG, thunderstorms, and rains!, mixed with a few sun rays in between.... It does make for some interesting hiking adventures! Here's what I posted last night in the condo: "Hi everyone! I hope you day has been a good one. Mine has been interesting to say the least... It was a hike day, off to park Butte at Mt Baker. We made 75 here, a sunny skies m great day in Edmonds. I wish I could say the same about Mt Baker. Weather dude for Mt Baker speaks with forked tongue... no way did they get that sun, or that 65/70. more like 50, foggy, and rainy. I made the lookout, after climbing my 1800 feet, all in a bank of fog, and then the rains started. I made topside dripping wet. I don't think I have ever been that wet on a hike. LOL: you couldn't see a bloody thing. It would have been great if I could have seen any of it. HAHA. About this point the thunder started, so I made my exit. Never did get any lightning, just a few ka-booms, with some rumbles. FUN!!! Well anyways, climbed down on wet rocks, soggy trails, but still had a great time. What I could see was very nice. I can only imagine hoe great the views would have been. I did about 9.5 miles today. Not too bad considering the conditions. Of course once I get back to the trail head, the sun starts to shine, you gotta love it.So only one thing to do: opened the windows, put on some music, cranked it up, got out the munchies, and had a great drive home." Picassa link: Park Butte There is one video in the lot, of Rocky Creek. This is the creek that caused me to abort the hike a few weeks ago. it is a glacial creek that is constantly changing course, and constantly washing out the bridges that are put in to let hikers cross. Another one was installed just a few ads ago, allowing me to go yesterday. Some have crossed without a bridge, but WOW: very wet feet and shoes and pants, plus the water is glacial: murky, you cannot see where you are stepping.... FUN! I am so glad there is now a bridge .

I so LOVE the welcoming committee. Yesterday Lola was waiting, and Elsa and Bug were late. They came running though. I could so see the "MOM'S HOME!!!" as quickly as they ran to meet me, then they ran into the kitchen. Seems that they thought they were starving! and yes... I was ON TIME! So they had to wait a few while I brought in my hike gear. Silly kitties followed me all over the house until I finally went into the kitchen to feed them.  I heard Elsa muttering about the blood oath and that I had 5 minutes it deliver the fuds or else. Elsa? really? She almost always sleeps through dinner.....   It was so funny when I opened the door, when I got home. Lola let out his big MEOW! and then rolled back and forth meowing the whole time. oh where was my camera! in my hike bag.... it was so darn cute, back and forth rolling on the landing. I love this cat. Bug and Elsa just watched her. I could so see the thoughts: "Seriously? She's embarrassing us and all in the world of cat-dom!"
I wanted to share a post from yesterday's condo. It just made my day yesterday. I am amazed at how much Mannie left behind: memories, legacies, thoughts, presence.... and now MANNIE-NANNERS! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. THANK YOU ROBIN!
Have a great day everyone. I am off shortly to have breakfast with my son, and then a visit later in the day to Seattle to have coffee with a friend. WOOT! A social day!!

So I have to tell you this.... I was in a new, upscale pet store this weekend and I saw a 'nanner so of course I said out loud, "Oh look, it's a Mannie-Nanner!" The young salesperson looked at me strangely and walked away. I didn't care - I found a nanner. I had never seen one before except in Mannie's tributes.
Well of course I bought it and took it home to my civvies and sugarfoster and told them about Mannie and his antics that I had read about here and gave it to them in honor of Mannie. Yes, there was a ceremony. They took turns soaking their Mannie-Nanner and clearly, it is their favorite, all-time, toy. I find it everywhere... steps, kitchen, patio, BED...
They know that this is not just any toy- but it is a Mannie-Nanner and they are happy to have this in his honor!!!
Have a great day everyone. I am off shortly to have breakfast with my son, and then a visit later in the day to Seattle to have coffee with a friend. WOOT! A social day!!
