here we go again, insulin acting, food acting -- possibility of blues again today but not as nice as yesterday, though I'm only guessing -- coming out of that bounce yesterday afternoon -- if we can stay steady on the dose maybe things will clear out -- looks like Catcat is one of those who cannot hold the decrease well if it's done right away

Be a good kitty Catcat, let's see some more blues today please!
I hope you have a really good day Candy! :)

You switched to Lantus recently. When I switched Ravan to Levemir it took 8 months till his BG got near being Regulated.I felt like it was a constant roller coaster ride.Up & down!! He still surprises me ,like at 3am this morning. He was very persistent waking me up.

+5 48!!! Did not expect that! I need to remind myself to pay attention when he gets me up early am. He knows better than I do what he needs

I need a good day -- DH brought me some more sod to put over the rocky sandy soil where the anthill was (treated with baking soda now nothing will grow there); plus a bag of potting soil and some closeout plants from Walmart -- two of them are impatiens which I think should be for shady area, but the petunias and marigolds should do well in the full sun out front -- I may move my geranium houseplants out there as well since we may be over the worst of the heat

thought about using some of Catcat's litterbox-used fir pellet sawdust since he ONLY pees there, poos outside -- could be a balance to the baking soda, but think it would cause any loose dogs in the area to leave their scent there as well

meanwhile Catcat is giving me that STARE that says "where is my morning food, don't you usually give me a snack about now?" -- I tell him I'm shooting for +5 today

still hanging out in the mesquite trees but at least heading down a bit -- maybe this will be a yellow day after all, maybe he will dip down more in the afternoon, which he sometimes does

he's enjoying his treats -- bonito flakes and whitefish crumbles, may feed him some of the roast duck DS brought home from a potluck, later on

Yes, that's for sure! Those flat yellow cycles can be a warning of things to come - if Catcat decides to head down to the beach, he'll make a run at that lagoon too...glad he's enjoying his treats...hope your gardening is successful!

Sue is totally right! I've experienced many situations where the nice flat yellow cycle leads to some action in the next! Stay safe Catcat!

Hope you're having a great day Candy :joyful:

not a FLAT yellow day, but a yellow day nevertheless, at least so far -- no I do not want an active cycle tonight, save it for morning, Catcat

do I have to break out that food with rice in it ??????

trying out the Paws&Claws pate which seems to have about as much rice in it as the Friskies does, Catcat really likes this whitefish & chicken flavor -- I suspect the so called whitefish is haddock, which I actually rather like myself

I think Catcat may be gaining some weight, back to his optimal weight, I'm noticing there is less loose skin to pull up when I get ready to shoot, may have to start watching to see what the fat content is, in the foods that are working for him
