Alice is still exhibiting ventroflexion of the neck, continuing to give her potassium gel and making her eat. She’s very weak but can still jump up into the bed, and she is drinking water on her own as well as using the litter box. She just looks like she feels so so so awful.
I didn’t bother to call the vet today. My vet is off on Thursdays and the other vet would have just said she looks like crap and then treated her with potassium, like we are already doing. And Alice would have had a car ride.
That being said, I think I’ll call tomorrow. She needs B12, too, and I don’t have that yet.
Last time she had hypokalemia she bounced back to her chipper self on the gel after a day and a half, I think. Fingers crossed it is the same thing this time.
