Updated to add: I tested at normal shot time and he was 239 Libre / 200 Meter so I did shoot 2.0. I hope I did the right thing. I’ll be home nearly all day to monitor him.

Apparently, Watson had some crazy lows during the night And as I mentioned before without hearing aids, I am pretty deaf so I did not hear the alarm go off on my reader until 7:30 this morning. At that time, he had 2 mL of maple syrup & 10 treats but refused the gravy off of the hc food. Instead, he had breakfast an hour and a half earlier than normal.
he had had two days of really high numbers and yesterday was the first day he was semi-normal during the day. I think he crashed during the night because he didn’t eat a good supper. All four of my cats really hate pate so I’m having a hard time feeding them Anything other than the chicken and fish version of blue buffalo wild delights, which usually goes down pretty good with all four of them

Anyway, I am assuming the next shot should be down .25 to 2 units. I guess my question is this I wanna wait until his numbers come up above 200 before I shoot him even though he ate at 8:10 would it be OK to just wait for the shot? His usual breakfast is at 9:30 and shot about 10-15 minutes after. Can I shoot at his normal time if his numbers are up?

Good luck with the reduction, Rosie and Watson. He’s been showing some lower numbers lately!
Wishing you a very safe surf, especially at night!
Is there anything can do to enable you to hear the alarms at night??

@Staci & Ivy I have the reader on the nightstand right next to my bed and I don’t think you can adjust the volume on that. Maybe tonight I could try putting it on the bed next to my pillow and hope I don’t knock it off during the night. (My headboard is wrought iron with openings). I feel so bad like I am failing him when he goes low during the night and I’m not there to Immediately counteract it. It doesn’t look like he went below 50 so I’m grateful for that. I wish I could Find a food that he would consistently eat, but he is definitely not a fan of pate’s at all. I am also worried that the young Again zero carb might be what’s causing his diarrhea, which has been hanging on for almost 2 months I’m picking up another prescription from the doctor today for an antibiotic and I’m trying to hold off giving him the young again for 24 hours and see if that makes a difference at all but all four cats are begging for it

I totally understand. I have the opposite problem. My phone is quite loud (even though I have the volume completely turned down) and the alerts from the app are loud.
So I keep my phone wrapped in a thick towel and keep it under a pillow next to me (so I can get up if needed and try not to wake up my husband).

It seems every problem we encounter needs a whole solution to enable use of something we need ;)

@Staci & Ivy
I haven’t used my phone the last two times because Abbott says the Libre isn’t compatible with the iOS version I have so I’ve been using the regular reader.

What phone do you use?
I have an older iPhone 8 that I use with Libre 3 and it works just fine.
I like the Libre 3 because I can see 24/7 monitoring and I don’t have to physically scan her.

Have you tried the Libre 3? That seems odd the 11 isn’t compatible.
Did you check if it is with the Libre 3?
@Staci & Ivy I didn’t check. The rx the vet wrote was for the Libre2 and at the time I didn’t even know a Libre three existed. Right now, I have two spares that were replacements from Abbott so I definitely want to use them up. I’ll look to see if the three is compatible with that iOS version

the 3 is compatible thru iOS 17.2. I have 17.6.1

Looks like you phone works with both 2 and 3’s

For me the 3 gave me such flexibility. No more physically scanning. (And if I’m upstairs or out of the house, I can know at all times where her numbers are and I see it on MY PHONE!!)
It was such a game changer for me.

Neither of these are a good for the 17.6.1 version of iOS though. The three sounds awesome
I should clarify, I’m talking about the phone I leave at home just for Ivy (not my phone). You need a dedicated phone just for them. That’s why I bought an older phone. No active service on the phone.
