I think....

I hope everyone enjoyed there day yesterday, that it was a good one. It was a very busy one for Nicholas and I. Another one of those days when I wished I had roller blades... or an equivalent that would work on a river.  We just didn't stop! Was I ever worn out last night.   I had intended to spend time with condos, and sat down for a minute...never ever sit down down a minute. I was I-) I-) I-) I-) I-) I-) anyways.... it really was a great day - enjoyed every minute of it. here is what I wrote in last night's post: "HI everyone! I hope your day has been a good one. Nicholas and I had a blast today! A river day, followed up by a visit to the trains in Snoqualmie. What a day it has been, i don't think we stopped from 7 this morning until I dropped him off at 4, at his home. We did alot.... We ended up at the Snoqualmie River, over by Twin Falls, as it was supposed to have the most sun, a little warmer temps, and we haven't been there in a while. I shall laugh, we get there and it is fogged in. So much for sun that the weather dudes said would be there at 10. it was warm though, maybe 65. The fog did lift, but we never really did get any sun. River was great - level is down some, so we did find several places where he could get out in it. And he did. Found a couple of new access points too. Lots of river wading, boot flooding, a few butt sits in the river, soaked shirts and jeans and socks, and more than his fair share of rock throwing. What I would call a successful day on the river. He just loves it so there. Since I had a little time, as I was dropping him off at his home, we stopped in at Snoqualmie and visited the trains there. This was where the Thomas the Train event was. So of course he was looking for Thomas. He found all the box cars and passenger cars, but alas, no Thomas. LMAO: he concluded that Thomas was in another city: Gold Bar ( a small town off of HWY 2 that has tracks bordering the town). HAHAHAHA. too funny. No doubt be looking for Thomas the next time we go through Gold Bar... he never forgets a thing." FANTASTIC DAY! Picassa links: Nicholas: the Faces of Travel (love these shots: just random images of what goes ion in the back seat as we travel to our destination), Snoqualmie Train Museum, and Snoqualmie River

I spent a few minutes with my DD and William yesterday when I dropped of Nicholas at home. He sure has grown! William and Nicholas

YAY!!! The welcoming committee was there to greet me when I got home yesterday. Guess they missed me, as they had been on their own since 8AM until I got home @ 5PM. I was so surprised that they didn't give me the evil squinty eye, or the Mannie you are late prance, as I truly was late. They just meowed, and rolled on the floor, and then looked back as they went up the stairs to make sure I followed them into the kitchen. Dinner was LATE after all..... So fed them I did, which met with approval, no compaints or "are you serous? this is dinner?" grumbles. WOW, what good kitties. no messes, no fusses, no craziness....     so.... I went to clean up after a day on the river, took my shower, etc etc etc.... came up the stairs to find that they had been busy.... amazing what they can do in 10/15 minutes. another plant dug up with dirt scattered, kleenex shredded, magazine scattered, butter licked, drain stoppers in the sinks removed, pencil holders upturned, and toys scattered all over the kitchen.         hmmmmmm - could they be saying: "OK, we were good, now don't ever be late again!" :? GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO KITTIES! :-D

Have a great day everyone! I will have Nicholas again today. It is a swim day, and whatever else we can come up with. No doubt some berry picking will be involved. duh. I will try and get to condos when I can.

KITTIES! Remember: think BLUE, think GREEN!!

Re: 8/2 LOOSE LIPS: back on the river... & off to the trians

Morning!!!!! ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O) ~O)
Any day that starts with a visit from Elsa is a GOOD DAY!!! wHOOOOO Elsa, lil bit, apple and caramel with chocolate? YES Ma'am, please count me in. I'd love a frappe of apple, caramel and butterscotch with a hint of chocolate. Yahoo.. Don't worry about the cronuts. LL cronuts belong only to Elsa!!! xoxoxo auntiemary. And let's see Pizza!! oh yes. with anchovies, and tuna and salmon and oh, whatever they are using, will be perfect!

Yesterday does sound like a roller blade day.. Maybe a jet backpack...maybe lots o' 10 hour energy. If you can ever find a way to bottle Nicholas energy, you've got a built in clientele here. :-D

I love your welcoming committee! I guess they don't want Nicholas to be the only one getting your attention. Sounds like when you get home..It's a celebration complete with a whole house party!! Yayyyy!!! mom is home, let the party start NOW!

Have a wonderful day! We're going out to gather some black raspberries today. oooh.. maybe Elsa wants some for a frappe'?
xoxo hugs and scritches all around from us

Re: 8/2 LOOSE LIPS: back on the river... & off to the trians

Hi, Michelle ~O) !
What a fun day! I love that N. was looking for Thomas and decided he was in another city.
Oh my on the destructive 10-15 minutes! Were they making up for lost time? (Mom was gone ALL DAY and we forgot to get into stuff!) I bet Lola was responsible for 95% of the mess (esp. the kleenex and dirt ;-) ). Sorry, Lola, don't mean to point fingers ~ but you do have a track record...
Your home is definitely their 'oyster' :-D .

Enjoy your day!

Re: 8/2 LOOSE LIPS: back on the river... & off to the trians

Hey Lil Bit,

Don't you worry about no patent on those cronuts! I know an excellent cattorney, named Johnny Catrun who will represent you and make this all go away! He is the bestest and he will work for pizzas and coffee! So you won't need to raid the bean's wallet for money or a plastic thingy! Woo hoo!

When you make your delivery, we can go into NYC and meet with him. He said he will meet us in Central Park, under the big tree!

Signed Maui the Magnificent, gots you covered girl

Re: 8/2 LOOSE LIPS: back on the river... & off to the trains

Hi everyone! WOW, our streak of good weather seems to have come to an end, at least for today. It has been raining non-stop here since this morning. I am glad that we didn't get this yesterday when we were at the river. With weather like this, it was nice to have this be a normal swim day for Nicholas. The energizer FISH was hard at it today. He met a boy last friday that was also there today, so they played together again. Long and hard and at warp speed. They swam under water together, down the slides together, and under the dumping buckets together. I have been trying for ages to get Nicholas to stand under those buckets. they are mounted on a pole, about 10 feet up, and fill with water. When full they dump their contents on whomever happens to be standing under them. Today he did. AWESOME! He was laughing so hard when they dumped on him, and then was back for more. What great fun! Despite the rains Nicholas wanted to still go berry hunting, so we put on our slickers and off we went. The blackberries are really ripe now, and lots of them! We still managed to find some wild raspberries and huckleberries. I had to laugh so hard when we reached this section that we call the bridge. It's basically a large drainage pipe that the trail goes over, the "creek" runs under. I think it is maybe 10 feet wide. Nichols grabbed handfuls of dirt, dumps it into the water on one side, then runs to the other side to watch the first float out from the "tunnel". his version of Pooh Sticks. That was a hoot. We must have spent 30 minutes doing that. what a great time for him. FUNS!!!! I will post the Picassa links in tomorrow's Loose Lips. For now... he is dead to the world,so immersed in a well needed nap. Sleep well little man....

Hi Angela ~O) LOL, but thanks! we are a non-stop GO machine when my DGS is here. No rest for the weary....  THX, it was a great time, as is today. FUN rules!

Hi Ann ~O) THX, yesterday was great. I LOVE river days - nothing an beat the time there. we both enjoy it alot. and the trains was an added bonus. :-D LOL: i know.... roller blades needed, and lots of 10 hour energy. Elsa more please! LOL on yesterday and the welcoming committee. I thought I had it made, til I came back upstairs. Shesshhh! THX too on William - he is growing so fast. it is hard to believe his is almost 2 months old. :) THX on today - it has been good.
Auntie Ann! OK, you gots it!!! I will tell Lola and Bug. They got pizzas coming out of that oven right and left. LOTS of orders today!! Psstt.... pepperoni is my fav too! See ya soon, more brews and more pizzas coming! ~~ Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

MAUI! GF! oh ok on the patent... I was so worried! But mega cool on your lawyer dude! heeehehehee... i like his name. catrun. he's gotta be a good dude then! for sure! let's hook up adn settle this patent thing once and for all! Lola and Bug are shipping him so delish pizzas t=right now. they too want this to go away. Let's do this!! Central and the big Tree here we come! ~~ Elsa, no longer worried....

Hi Josie ~O) Isn't that a hoot with Thomas. I thought how clever to come up with the though that Thomas wasn't there becasue he was in another city, and then to pick the city! it is one that he knows has train.s ;-) :-D -- I guess so on the kitties making up for lost time -  wow, did they ever! Beans home, so back to normalcy!  i so now too: i pointed my finger at Lola, I am sure she lead the charge. oh yes, they are quite at home here, and their oyster?MOST ASSUREDLY!

Hi Mary ~O) lol, i stink I'd like the jet pack.   maybe not... Nicholas would want one too! a for sure on the 10 hour energy!   I so agree o bottling Nicholas's energy - I wish I had a fraction of it. Thanks on the welcoming committee - I can so se the thought process as you described it. Yupp! mom's home, let;'s have at it!    Enjoy your berry picking. I love black raspberries too. very good!
Auntie Mary - it is all yours! isn't that the bestest mocha ever???? It is Mannie creation - the boy was so good with mochas. he wasn't known as MochaMannie for nuthin' ya know. :-D heeheheehe - Lola and Bug are off to catch the anchovies for your pizza, they say only fresh ones! so... few minutes and then they are on their way.... OH! YES! berries for my frappes, please! i'd get them locally but that tiny human always eats them all.... Elsa, Lil BIT, kitteh barista

Re: 8/2 LOOSE LIPS: back on the river... & off to the trains

That's so cute on the welcoming committee and crazy with the mess they made after you got home. That's funny Nicholas decided Thomas was in another city. That's very smart.

Re: 8/2 LOOSE LIPS: back on the river... & off to the trains

Hi Carla :-D I so agree... love the greeting, not too sure on the mess.  I thought so too on Nicholas - logical, and smart. He comes up with the greatest things!
